The above screenshot looks toward the two work stations located on the lower tier of the multi-level Bridge, sited immediately in front of the main viewscreen, and behind in the background can be seen the upper level at the rear of the Bridge. The port-side position on this forward control station, which has a star-cum-temporal map inlaid into its upper surface, is the helm.

The starboard position is often occupied by the second-in-command (on the Relativity, this is Lieutenant Ducane, although no explanation is given in [#118 Relativity] as to why he is not of the higher rank of, say, Lieutenant Commander or Commander). The officer at the starboard post initiates temporal transportation and if desired maintains audio communication with an operative during an away mission. When Braxton orders the reluctant Ducane to transport Seven aboard dead), although Ducane initiates the transport, it is the officer next to him who reports: "Temporal transport in progress."
