PROJECT PATHFINDER

In the alternative future depicted in [#171 and #172 Endgame], following USS Voyager's return home, the Pathfinder lab is used for teaching Academy cadets.

The alternative [#171 and #172 Endgame] future is set in 2403: USS Voyager is taken to the Delta Quadrant in 2371; in 2377 Admiral Janeway travels back in time and informs her younger self that it took 16 more years to reach home; and we see the 10th anniversary of the return being celebrated.

Starfleet Headquarters is still located in San Francisco, North American continent, on Earth.

Below are screenshots of the first lecture of a course conducted in the converted Project Pathfinder lab. Commander Reginald Barclay is the lecturer. He begins by introducing to the class of Starfleet Academy cadets the Delta Quadrant race of beings still considered as a dire threat to the Alpha Quadrant - the Borg. The visiting speaker is Admiral Kathryn Janeway who "literally wrote the book on the Borg".

The Starfleet uniform has changed since that worn by Voyager's crew in 2377 and the amended Starfleet uniform worn by Lt. Reg Barclay, Counsellor Deanna Troi, Admiral Paris etc. as seen in Pathfinder-related episodes [Pathfinder], [Life Line], [Inside Man] and [Author, Author].

The design of Federation/Starfleet PADDS has also changed. They are more curved at the top, and less long from top to bottom. A cadet can be seen holding one.

A floor-mounted holo-emitter enables the lecturer to call up any image in Starfleet's database.
Here Commander Barclay calls up a holo-image of a Borg drone.

The design of portable personal computers has also changed. The viewscreen appears almost entirely transparent, and narrower than those used on USS Voyager between 2371 and 2377.

Office. Not much has changed since 2377 as regards decor. In 2376 and 2377 the desk was against the wall to Admiral Janeway's left, facing out into the room. Here it is under the window.
