[Star Trek: The Next Generation] was first aired starting in 1987 for seven seasons and precedes [Star Trek: Voyager]. The hero starship is USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D commanded by Captain Jean-Luc Picard. He is quoted and mentioned by Captain Kathryn Janeway in [#68 and #69 Scorpion]. Geordi La Forge, the chief engineer on the Enterprise-D, appears in [#100 Timeless], as Captain La Forge, in an eventually unrealised timeline in the year 2390.
