TIME TRAVEL STORIES

2371 [#3 Parallax] Voyager gets caught in the event horizon of a collapsed singularity when responding to a distress call but realises later that it was the distress call that they themselves sent out. Janeway and Torres take a shuttlecraft and fire a dekyon beam at the rupture to force a gap large enough for Voyager to escape.
2371 [#4 Time And Again] An explosion at a polaric energy plant destroys an alien planet and shatters subspace. When the Voyager away team investigate, Paris and Janeway get caught in a subspace fracture and travel back in time to the day before the cataclysmic event. Janeway orders Paris not to reveal their true identity to the indigenous inhabitants but then does so herself when she realises that it was Voyager's attempt to rescue herself and Paris that caused the explosion. With her knowledge she prevents the rescue attempt and the timeline resets so that the explosion never happened.
2371 [#7 Eye Of The Needle] Kim discovers a micro-wormhole leading to the Alpha Quadrant and the Voyager crew establish audio then audio-visual contact with Telek R'Mor, a Romulan scientists in a vessel there. Torres modifies equipment to enable the Voyager crew to transport to the Romulan ship and thus reach home, but then they discover that a time shift in the wormhole means that they would be travelling into the past. Letters for home are nevertheless entrusted to the Romulan to deliver to Starfleet Command in due time, but after his departure Tuvok reveals that records show R'Mor died shortly before Voyager even left for the Delta Quadrant.
2372 [#22 Non Sequitur] Kim's shuttlecraft, the Drake, intersects with a temporal inversion fold in the space-time matrix and alters his timeline. He ends up back on Earth, in San Francisco, never having joined Voyager, and living with his fiancée Libby and with a starship design job at Starfleet Headquarters. He learns what happened from an alien sent to look after him, and to reverse the process he enlists the aid of the Tom Paris in that reality, who also never joined Voyager. Kim successfully returns to the Drake and is beamed aboard Voyager at the moment the Drake is destroyed.
2372 [#34 Death Wish] An escaped member of the Q Continuum sends Voyager back in time to the Big Bang in a bid to hide from Q, another member of the Q Continuum, who has come after him. After a brief moment at the Big Bang, Voyager is returned to the present.
2373 [#50 and #51 Future's End] When debris from Voyager is found in the wreckage of the vast explosion that affects the 22nd century, Captain Braxton is sent from Federation of the future back in time to destroy Voyager and so prevent the future's devastation. A confrontation between Braxton's timeship Aeon and Voyagercauses a rift in the space-time continuum to destabilise, and both ships are pulled into Earth's past, specifically 1996 in Los Angeles. There they learn that the future's end was actually caused by Henry Starling who stole the Aeon and exploited its technology for commercial gain. Voyager manages to correct events, and an alternate version of Braxton appears and returns Voyager to its proper time and place in history.
quoteJaneway: "Time travel. Since my first day as a starship captain I swore I'd never let myself get caught in one of these godforsaken paradoxes. The future is the past, the past is the future - it all gives me a headache." [Future's End]

2373 [#63 Before And After] The Doctor invents a bio-temporal chamber designed to extend the life of the aged Kes who, as an Ocampan, has a lifespan normally of 9 years. But the chamber activates residual chroniton radiation in her body, causing her to travel backward through time. With each jump back in time she gathers enough information and aid from the crew to enable the Doctor to reverse the process and so bring her in line with the current timeframe.
2374 [#76 and #77 Year Of Hell] Krenim scientist Annorax uses his weapons ship to trigger temporal incursions throughout the region as he attempts to restore the Krenim Imperium to its former peak of dominance and, specifically, to find his wife again whom he had accidentally eradicated from history. Voyager creates temporal shielding to protect ship and crew against Krenim chroniton torpedoes. That interferes with Annorax's plans who kidnaps Chakotay and Paris and tries to destroy Voyager. Chakotay and Paris instigate a mutiny among Annorax's crew, while Janeway attacks with Voyager and an alliance of other ships. Finally she deliberately crashes Voyager into Annorax's ship and because its own protection against timeline changes has been deactivated, the timeline resets as both vessels are destroyed, so that none of the events happened.
quoteJaneway: "I'm no authority on time travel, in fact I've made it my goal in life to avoid it but this sounds to me like a causality paradox. Think about it: a temporal shockwave eliminates a single species and all of history changes as a result." [Year Of Hell]

2375/2390 [#100 Timeless] Voyager employs experimental quantum slipstream technology to try and reach the Alpha Quadrant, but due to mistaken calculations sent to Voyager by Kim, who with Chakotay is flying ahead in the Delta Flyer, the ship crashlands on an ice planet killing all aboard. Chakotay and Kim make it back to the Alpha Quadrant. Fifteen years later, fleeing Starfleet, they make an attempt to change history and bring the Voyager crew home safely. Although unable to send the correct calculations to Voyager to get the ship home, Kim manages to send a signal that shuts down the quantum slipstream drive which successfully prevents the series of events that led to the catastrophic crash. This means the timeline changes so that Kim and Chakotay, along with the rest of the Voyager crew, are still alive and well in the Delta Quadrant.

2375 [#118 Relativity] With the help of future Federation Starfleet officers, Seven and Janeway travel through time to prevent the planting of a temporal disruptor aboard Voyager which, in one timeframe, destroys the ship. They discover the culprit is an alternate version of Captain Braxton (ref. [#50 and #51 Future's End]), and they deliver him to the future Federation.
2376 [#143 Fury] Kes, furious with the Voyager crew, returns to Voyager and sends herself back in time to deliver the crew to the organ-harvesting species, the Vidiians. At the moment Voyager is about to be boarded by Vidiians, Janeway kills the older Kes. Voyager just manages to escape the Vidiians, but to prevent history repeating itself Janeway enlists the aid of Kes' younger self. Kes' younger self creates a message which is played to the older Kes when history starts to repeat itself. The older Kes listens and forgoes her revenge.
2377 [#157 Shattered] A chronokinetic surge interacts with Voyager's warp core, shattering the space time-continuum aboard the ship and breaking it into 37 different timeframes. Chakotay enlists the aid of Janeway from the 2371-era and together they navigate the timeframes in order to inject a cure into the ship's bio-neural gel-packs. They gather the help of ship's personnel from several different timeframes in order to thwart Seska (from the [#42 and #43 Basics] era) who plans to bring all timeframes in line with her own so that she would never lose control of the ship. Chakotay is returned to his own timeframe, but shortly before the surge, and manages to prevent it, thereby preventing any of those events from happening.
2377 [#165 Q2] Q leaves his son (born in [#53 The Q And The Gray]) with Aunt Kathy i.e. Janeway, hoping that she will overcome his rebellious adolescent-style behaviour and instill in him maturity and a sense of values. While on Voyager Q2 traps the crew in a temporal loop in which they keep repeating the same 30 second period over and over again. (This is not seen on tv.)
