  • Puzzles underscored have the givens placed symmetrically; there is no significance to this apart from visual aesthetics.
  • ‡ = bonus clues, see relevant puzzle for details.
  • Instructions for solving the puzzle are given with each one. Solving these symbol-placement logic puzzles requires a knowledge of ordinary Su-doku, explained in Examples and Notes. However, whilst ordinary Su-doku puzzles use a 3x3 grid and digits 1 to 9, Vulcan Master Su-doku puzzles are more difficult because they use extended 4x4 or 5x5 grids. This means there are more symbols to be placed - they use letters as well as digits.

Young Tuvok: "Where's the logic in that?"
Vulcan Master: "Hidden for you to find, or in plain sight for you to ignore."
    [#107 Gravity]
Vulcan masters are first established in [Star Trek I: The Motion Picture]. In Vulcan society, they are elder mentors who guide aspirants through the arduous Kolinahr ritual. One is seen guiding the initially rebellious young Tuvok in [#107 Gravity]. In later Star Trek, implicitly and in general terms a Vulcan master is a respected mentor, usually an elder, who has attained superior skill and/or knowledge in a particular discipline. In [#92 Demon], Tom Paris uses "Vulcan Master" in a different sense:
Paris: "You put Tuvok in his place right in front of everybody."
Kim: "He was stating the obvious again, talking down to me like I didn't know anything about Demon Class planets."
Paris: "I am not criticising you. Believe me, nobody enjoys seeing the Vulcan Master put down a peg more than I do."
