STSC omits the fact that Voyager made a significant detour in order to visit Rinax in [#15 Jetrel]. That meant reversing course, although heading directly for Rinax and not back directly towards the Ocampa homeworld. The reverse course occurs approximately three squares from the bottom of the star chart. Accordingly Voyager retraced most of the year's travel. Overall, USS Voyager travelled further away from the Alpha Quadrant than the Ocampa homeworld, near the Caretaker's Array, where the Caretaker originally brought ship and crew in [#1 and #2 Caretaker]. STSC's calculation of the total distance travelled by USS Voyager is therefore erroneous.

Janeway, via comms: "Neelix, I thought you’d like to know we’re approaching Rinax." Emotions well up in Neelix and he is unable to respond. She asks: "Neelix?"
He recovers himself enough to reply: "Thank you Captain, I’ll be right there."
Janeway and Chakotay turn as Neelix enters the Bridge.
Paris reports to Janeway: "Entering synchronous orbit, Captain."
Neelix stares at the uninhabitable moon: "Hard to believe that on clear nights you could look up from Talax and see the shimmering lights of the colony. The night of the Cascade, a bright flash cut across the sky. It was so blinding that people threw themselves to the ground. Then everything stopped, like a moment out of time, then we all looked up to see where the flash had come from, but the sky seemed oddly empty. Took most of us a few seconds to realise it was because Rinax was......gone. Of course the moon was still there, we just couldn't see it because of that Metreon Cloud."

Neelix stares at Rinax. Rinax is seen on the viewscreen with Talax behind it. [#15 Jetrel]

Accordingly, omitted from the STSC star charts are the positions where events in the following episodes occur and the places mentioned therein: [#16 Learning Curve] (Napinne click for link), [#17 Projections], [#18 Elogium] (the co-ordinates of where Voyager meets and studies the space-dwelling lifeform that the crew call 'the Swarm'), and [#19 Twisted] (place where Voyager meets the distortion ring being).
