THE MAIN STREET INCLUDING SULLIVAN'S PUB : Page 1

For the purposes of this article, by "main street", I mean the two or three streets seen in the main exterior shots.

Fair Haven's cobbled high street have a number of village shops facing onto it, incuding a grocer's and tobacconist's and pork butcher's, and there is also the green- and yellow-decorated building with green door that is Sullivan's Pub. George Pattrick's fruit and vegetable cart and Maggie O'Halloran's flower cart are to be found in the street, usually at or nearby where the streets converge.

A horse and cart, and a farm vehicle such as a cart of hay (as seen left in the street at night in [Spirit Folk]) are some of the wheeled vehicles which can be found going along at an unhurried pace along Fair Haven's street. Tom Paris also drives the village, rather recklessly, in a Ford motor vehicle dating from the early 20th century. Sheep and geese are also to be found in the street as Fair Haven and environs is a farming community. One of the farmers, Ray Ewan, is a pig-farmer; and Mossie Donegan has a talking pig, and perhaps he too keeps livestock such as pigs. The local pig-farms (as implied by Sullivan's mention: "Not unless you fancy a pig-farmer," meaning more than a number in the area) and the presence of a pork butcher's on the main street hopefully indicates that the Fair Haven inhabitants are able to obtain fresh, locally-sourced pork (with the talking pig probably being the only one to be spared slaughter) (it is, of course, holographic meat).

European Square at Universal Studios provided the shooting location for [Fair Haven] and [Spirit Folk]. The same location had been used for [#86 and #87 The Killing Game] to represent a French village during World War II. It is nicely logical that USS Voyager's computer would use many of the same holographic elements for both.

there is no frame in the sequence where Paris' shirt is not in the shot
