FRANCES SULLIVAN ("FRANNIE")

In [Fair Haven], in Tom Paris' original version of the Fair Haven holoprogram, Frances is the wife of the bartender Michael Sullivan at Sullivan's pub. Sullivan introduces her, calling her Frannie, to Katie O'Clare (Janeway) after he and Katie have ended up spending an enjoyable time together from midnight until getting up time in the morning. Janeway is annoyed to discover that Sullivan has a wife, but she is perfectly pleasant to Frannie.

A woman comes into the bar from the private staff area, interrupting Sullivan and Janeway after they have spent the night (since a bit after midnight) enjoying each other's company including playing rings and arm-wrestling. The woman says: "Good morning."
Sullivan: "Good morning." He checks the time. "Oh my God, will you look at the time. Frannie, come here, there's someone I want you to meet." To Janeway: "Katie O'Clare, this is my wife Frances."

Frannie is pleased to meet Janeway.

Janeway and Frannie shake hands. Janeway says: "Pleased to meet you." but is not really all that pleased.

Frannie: "I hope Michael hasn't been bending your ear all night long."
Janeway jokes: "My ear, my elbow...."

Frannie looks puzzled.
Sullivan explains: "We were arm-wrestling."
Frannie: "Such a gentleman."

Janeway: "Well, thank you very much for your hospitality, and now I really must be leaving you."
Sullivan: "And, er, drop in again before you leave town."
Janeway leaves quickly. Without looking back, she calls: "I will."

However, later, Janeway enters Voyager's holographic research laboratory. She accesses Sullivan's holoprogram, calling it up in an inactive state, and changes several character algorithms, his height and, lastly, she orders the computer: "And one more thing. Access his interpersonal subroutines, familial characters. Delete the wife."

This leaves Janeway and Sullivan free to pursue a romantic relationship.
