In [#134 Memorial], the Delta Flyer crew "remember" their complicity in a massacre.
After returning to Voyager the away team experience strange and distressing visions. The Doctor determines their increased engrammatic activity suggests they are reacting to memories not delusions. As Janeway asks the away team members to recount their mission, they begin having nightmare flashbacks of their roles in a massacre. Janeway orders Voyager into the Tarakis star system. As they approach, all the crew vividly remember complicity in the massacre. Once Voyager is in orbit of Tarakis, an away team beams to the planet surface to investigate a weak power signature. They eventually discover that the massacre occurred 300 years ago, and that a synaptic transmitter located within an alien structure in a grassy field is sending neurogenic pulses throughout the star system so that anyone who enters will experience the memories of the battle as a memorial to the victims. The memorial's text reads: "Words alone cannot convey the suffering. Words alone cannot prevent what happened from happening again. Beyond words lies experience. Beyond experience lies truth. Make this truth your own." Because the memorial's power cells are deteriorating, the memories are fragmented. Janeway orders the crew to recharge the power cells so that the memorial will continue to spread its message, but they place a warning buoy on the edge of the star system so that visitors will understand the nature of the "flashbacks" they experience.
