SPECIFICATIONS. ST:M DRAWINGS. ENCYCLOPAEDIA 3D CUTAWAY DRAWING.

The Delta Flyer features ultra-aerodynamic contours, retractable nacelles, parametallic hull plating, tetraburnium alloy hull, unimatrix shielding, and Borg-inspired weapons systems including photonic missiles [#97 Extreme Risk]. Paris, an afficionado of 1930s tv science-fiction similar to the Buster Crabbe stories, incorporated control levers and meters modelled on those appearing in such stories, because he said he wanted to feel the ship he was piloting. The Delta Flyer's maiden voyage retrieved Voyager's multispatial probe (she has only one) from a gas giant planet, and managed to do so before attacking Malons could steal it [#97 Extreme Risk]. The Delta Flyer has survived several crashes e.g. [#142 Muse], and buffeting by unknown forces e.g. [#140 Good Shepherd] in which part of the hull was ripped off, and was destroyed in the episode [#147 Unimatrix Zero, Part One]. It had been rebuilt by [#148 Imperfection].

The show's designers modified the specification several times, partly to make the size of the aft section more plausible. I imagine SS's figure relates to the Delta Flyer reconstructed after [#146 and #147 Unimatrix Zero]
