Voyager travels through a level-5 ion storm to retrieve the away team. Immediately after recovering the Delta Flyer, containing the away team, Voyager jumps to warp 2 to escape a level-8 ion storm.
The holodeck (probably holodeck 2) is on Deck 6 Section 9. In [#66 Displaced] it is established that it is on deck 6.
Neelix suggests to Naomi that they can use help in airponics, indicating that the room is still in use for growing food, and is manned by more than one crewman.
Neelix has half a dozen medkits stockpiled in Cargo Bay 2.
Phaser drills are kept in Cargo Bay 3. They are seen in use in only this episode.
The Delta Flyer runs into an ion storm that knocks out impulse power and damages primary systems leaving life support failing. Starboard thrusters go down as the ship crashlands on a class-M planet with a nickel-iron core and a bemonite mantle. It is buried three kilometres beneath the surface in a cavern flooded with fluorine gas. Rather than abandon the shuttlecraft, it is transported to the shuttlebay and, according to Janeway's log, is "battered but intact".
Starfleet Regulation 476-9 states: "All away teams must report to the bridge at least once every twenty-four hours."
The role of captain's assistant, which Neelix suggests for Naomi Wildman, is not an official Starfleet posting, but one that Naomi devises for herself in that she intends to be the captain's assistant. By the end of the episode, Janeway knows and approves of Naomi's intention. (Naomi introduces herself as captain's assistant to Ensign Gilmore in [#120 and #121 Equinox].)
