EQUIPMENT AND SUPPLIES

Following Ensign Jetal's death as the result of injuries in an attack in a shuttlecraft and inflicted by an alien weapon, the Doctor had a breakdown and now that he has remembered everything, he begins agonising over the same question: how he could choose one life over another (Kim's over Jetal's)? The resulting feedback loop creates a battle between his original programming and what he has become. Janeway and the crew keep vigil with him for two weeks, helping him to accept his decision.

As part of the crew's annual physical the Doctor uses his holo-imager (first seen in [#96 Drone]) to take an image of his patients down to the subatomic level by tuning the holo-imager's resonance spectrum along the subspace band.
