STATUS REPORT

The astrometrics lab has not been updated since Voyager left drydock. Kim and Seven begin their upgrade by enhancing the astrometric sensors in Jefferies tube 32-B. Seven designs new navigational sensors with some programming in Borg alphanumerics. Seven misaligns the optical assembly by .5 degrees, but corrects the problem. There are five million gigawatts running through the main power supply.

For a joke Paris and Kim once rigged the security console so that every time Tuvok accessed the internal sensors, it would say: "Live long and prosper". They programmed his replicator to do the same, indicating also either that Tuvok left his quarters unlocked or Paris unlocked it using the same skill with which he entered Kim's room unannounced in [#6 The Cloud].

Seven agrees to provide Voyager with all the navigational data for the area that she acquired when she was a Borg drone.

EQUIPMENT AND SUPPLIES

Tuvok's replicator. See above.

Torres' engineering toolcase is seen, with contents, aboard the Serosian ship. It is seen in the screenshot below, lying on a console next to a PADD:

Nine years ago, the first time they met, Tuvok dressed Janeway down in front of three Starfleet admirals for failing to observe proper tactical procedures. She says he was correct to do so.

Promotion in the field is as formal or semi-formal an occasion as the commanding officer wishes. In this episode Tuvok's promotion is done on a semi-formal basis, followed by a social gathering to mark it. In [#146 and #147 Unimatrix Zero], for instance, Paris' promotion back to Lieutenant is done on the bridge.

Janeway adds to Tuvok's rank pips
