A medical tricorder is made of duratanium casing with an alphanumeric display. Its dimensions are 7.6 centimetres by 9.8 centimetres by 3.2 centimetres. This refers to the Mark X, which differs slightly from the Mark VII seen in [TNG] from 2366/Season 3 onwards and 2371/Season 1 of [Voyager]. The tricorder mark VII measures 8.5x12x3 centimetres and weighes 353 grams, but the upgrade model namely the mark X, is rather bigger (contrary to the trend of miniaturisation) but its capacity is far greater. The mark VII tricorder measures 15.81x7.62x2.84 cm. At 298.3 grams it is slightly lighter than the mark VII.
Janeway makes a deal with Kovin for an isokinetic cannon that can penetrate the shields of heavily armed vessels like the Hirogen ships whose hulls are covered in monotanium. By way of trade, she offers astrometric charts spanning twelve sectors and 130 isolinear processing chips. The installation of the cannon is interrupted when Seven attacks Kovin. It is unclear whether the transaction is finalised due to the incident with Kovin, but the weapon is not seen again in the series.
A photonic pulse from Kovin's ship takes Voyager's sensors offline. The entire sensor array needs to be re-initialised before it is functional again.
