When Tuvok re-opens the narrative parameters on the file Insurrection Alpha, Seska's booby-trap program takes over, and the ship loses power in both transporter rooms, communications go down, and the holodeck system is completely scrambled, the holodeck is sealed, and safety protocols are off. Seska has laid booby-trapped subroutines everywhere, and if they try to open the holodeck doors the power grid is rigged to explode. When the holographic Seska orders the ship's self-destruct in the program, it initiates an overload in the holodeck power relays that would cause the whole system to blow, thus endangering the entire crew.
