STATUS REPORT

After logging a trinary star system, Voyager enters the territory of the Nasari. When Voyager encounters a Nasari ship, a tetyron surge indicates that the ship was charging weapons because the surge matched the energy signature of the beam field. Voyager visits Taresia to deliver Kim to investigate the change in him that call him thre. It is the third planet in its star system. When Voyager returns to Taresia to rescue Kim, sensors indicate that a network of satellites are generating a high-density polaron grid surrounding the planet that blocks communications and keeps Voyager from approaching the planet. The crew generate a new shield configuration to get through the barrier.

EQUIPMENT AND SUPPLIES

Voyager's scanners can detect a tetryon surge, which is what indicates that the Nasari ship is charging weapons.

In the episode [#60 Darkling], Zahir informs Janeway that there are asteroids with much needed vorilium in their path. An away team then collects vorillium (note the spelling difference) from a planet on a stardate that falls between that episode and this. It is unclear whether the writers were referring to the same substance. Encyclopaedia uses both spellings, thus apparently referring to them as two different substances.

DAMAGE REPORT

As the result of the Nasari attack, pressure builds in plasma Conduit G-6 until it blows, warp engines are down, and plasma injectors and propulsion are offline. The aft shield emitter is offline while phasers are operational but torpedo launchers are not.
