STATUS REPORT

The crew search for tellerium to power the ship - Voyager requires tellerium for the warp core because the antimatter reaction rate is down to 12 percent. If it drops below 9 per cent, the plasma injectors will lock up and the crew will never be able to re-initialise the warp nacelles. To save power they take all systems offline, including shields, and reduce life support to minimum.

Kim modifies the main deflector to send out dozens of radion beams to penetrate the Mokra Order prison shields while planning to use one of the beams to carry the transporter signal. Because the prison's sensor net will be unable to determine which of the beams carries the signal, the away team will have extra time to attempt a rescue, although the Mokra fire on the ship before they are able to carry out the plan.
