The bridge is a free-flying module, complete with its own maneuvering thrusters. Its use as a free-flying module is not seen on the show.

The bridge module also contains two turbolift docking shafts for easy access to a starbase. Behind the bridge is a cargo hold. There is also a Jefferies tube emergency access conduit which leads directly from Deck 6 into the cargo hold behind the bridge [#19 Twisted].

The area around deck 1 also contains sensor pallets, formation lights and escape pod hatches.

Bridge personnel can be seen at the rear of the bridge. The person on the right is facing the master situation display - a large diagram of the ship with integral displays which continually show the status of ship's systems together with continuous updates.

Looking from the viewscreen towards the Captain's and Commander's chairs, to see the rear LCARS display showing the ship's status. Janeway agreed to duck her head so that you can see behind her better.

The camera pans across most of Voyager's master situation display monitor (rear of the bridge) (on tv the righthand end, not seen in the Flash movie, is merged into the next shots of the astrometrics lab).

DEDICATION PLAQUE

Source: Encyclopaedia
All Federation starships carry a dedication plaque. Voyager's is kept on the bridge by the door to the briefing room [#121 Equinox, Part Two].

The dedication is an excerpt from 'Locksley Hall' by Lord Alfred Tennyson (the first two lines):

For I dipt into the future, far as human eye could see,
Saw the Vision of the World, and all the wonder that would be;
Saw the heavens fill with commerce, argosies of magic sails,
Pilots of the purple twilight, dropping down with costly bales;
Heard the heavens fill with shouting, and there rain'd a ghastly dew
From the nations' airy navies grappling in the central blue;
Far along the world-wide whisper of the south-wind rushing warm,
With the standards of the peoples plunging thro' the thunder-storm;
Till the war-drum throbb'd no longer, and the battle flags were furl'd
In the Parliament of Man, the Federation of the World.
There the common sense of most shall hold a fretful realm in awe,
And the kindly earth shall slumber, lapt in universal law.
