TALAXIANS FEATURED IN [STAR TREK: VOYAGER]

Dexa. She can be seen with son Brax in several of the pictures in his entry on the previous page.

Dexa Inhabitant of the Talaxian asteroid colony. She bore her husband a son called Brax, but her husband was killed by security forces of the planet Phanos, after which the Talaxian colony left and settled on the asteroid. When USS Voyager encountered the asteroid colony in late 2377 she met and fell in love with Neelix. She assisted Neelix and Oxilon to establish a defence perimeter around the colony to ward off the alien, Commander Nocona, whose mining operation planned to demolish the asteroid. Shortly afterwards Neelix left USS Voyager and came to live with Dexa and her son. Not long after that, Neelix confided to Seven of Nine, with whom he played regular kadiskot games via the Voyager-Talaxian colony communications systems, that he was thinking of asking Dexa to marry him. Dexa tends Neelix's injuries sustained from when the Delta Flyer crashlanded on the asteroid colony.

Dexa shows Neelix around part of the interior of the asteroid colony.

Dexa stands up to Nocona. When he shoves her aside, Brax throws a stone at him. Neelix protects Brax from Nocona's men. Dexa hugs Brax in relief after Nocona and his men leave.

Dexa and Neelix discover that they share the Axiana Lakes on Talax in common as one of their favourite places.		Dexa and Neelix watch as Brax and Naomi Wildman leave to go and play in Voyager's holodeck together, which incidentally leaves Dexa and Neelix to spend time alone together.

Dexa and Neelix share an intimate dinner together in her guest quarters on Voyager.	Dexa is told by Neelix that the colonists have longer to evacuate and that Voyager will help transport them.	Dexa listens to and supports Neelix when he tells colonists of a way to defend the colony. She suggests tying the forcefield emitters into the central core so they will receive a permanent energy supply.

As Neelix goes to leave on the potentially dangerous mission to set up the defence perimeter, Dexa pulls him back. They share an intimate look (pictured) then kiss.	Dexa mans the control console, ready to bring the defence grid online.

Dexa mans the control console, watching on the scanner the progress of the operation to plant forcefield emitters in the asteroid surface.	Dexa becomes very anxious when she sees on the scanner that Neelix is deliberately heading his defenceless ship towards Nocona's attacking ship - on collision course! He is saved by the last second intervention of the Delta Flyer and the defence grid is successfully erected.

Dexa and Neelix share a look as he departs for his duties on USS Voyager, but later Neelix returns for good.

An unnamed Talaxian is a prisoner of the Vidiians, along with with Paris and Torres, in 2371, in [#14 Faces].
