| In 2377, as depicted in [Flesh and Blood], USS Voyager follows two larger hunting vessels, Venatic class, which are pursuing a stolen Hirogen ship containing former holographic prey led by Iden. USS Voyager is informed by Hirogen engineer Donik: "Hirogen vessels produce an ion wake, approximately five thousand metres long. Inside it there's too much interference for their sensors to detect anything." - a 'blind spot' - and Voyager reaches the wake without being discovered by the unsuspecting Hirogen because Donik knows their scanning frequencies, and need only need to mask Voyager's signature long enough to get into the wake. To the right is a screenshot of the command centre of one of the large Hirogen hunting vessels. The interior of the command centre seems very similar in layout and design (especially the central computer multi-personnel work station and the primary control globe which acts as the helm) to that of the Hirogen ship stolen by Iden. | ![]() |
