HIROGEN : Iden's stolen Hirogen ship : Page 5 : Iden's private quarters

Iden has a small room for his private quarters located within easy reach of both the bridge and the laboratory-cum-treatment room. The room contains a chapel area with candles that can be lit in times of spiritual contemplate where Iden, a hologram programmed as a Bajoran, prays to the Prophets in the Celestial Temple.

After the Doctor helps repair the damaged matrices of some of Iden's holographic crew, the Doctor walks in on Iden who says he was praying: "For the Hirogen who died at the training facility. I'm asking the Prophets to guide their souls to the Celestial Temple. ... My spiritual beliefs are part of my programming."

See also LIFEFORMS: Bajorans (index to 5 pages). For the Bajoran religion see Bajoran religion, Bajoran death beliefs and Bajoran holy festivals.

Iden also has a small area on the bridge where he can light candles and pray. He does this while he and his crew wait for the Doctor and Torres to talk, hoping that the Doctor can persuade her to offer her expertise in holographic technology in order to help Kejal complete the development of the network of photonic field generators. The generators will be needed on Ha'Dara to maintain all their holographic matrices.

(This paragraph and screenshot also appear on "Iden's Stolen Hirogen Ship: Page 2: layout and location diagrams, screenshots and text about the bridge".)

Iden's quarters also contain a computer console and integral monitor display. He shows the Doctor the planet on which he and his crew plan to settle. Using the Federation planetary classification system it is a Class Y planet, that is, hostile to organic life, and therefore an ideal haven for the holograms who wish to live without interference from organics and in particular from the Hirogen who hunt them. Iden calls the planet Ha'Dara, a Bajoran term meaning "home of light".
