TELEPATHY

The Enarans have telepathic abilities and are able to share experiences through a telepathic link. This is achieved by the transferor standing behind or very close to the transferee, and placing their hand near to or actually on the back of the transferee. In this way, for instance, Jor Brel transfers his skill for playing a complex Enaran musical instrument to Kathryn Janeway (see also the top two pictures in Picture A below). Likewise, decades earlier, Dathan Alaris and a younger Korenna Mirell shared intimate thoughts. This is also the method whereby thoughts or memories are transferred the other way, as when Jessen receives the memories of Mirell from Torres.
