on the bridge of "USS Dauntless", Arturis contemplates his plan to kidnap the Voyager crew and take them to his home planet where the Borg will assimilate them	Janeway arrives with security guards - she knows Arturis has deceived them; he tries to talk his way out
when Janeway refuses to believe his further lies, he rips off the cover of a control panel....	.....and, despite the efforts of the Voyager security guards, manages to activate the control which makes the ship interior revert to its true state
the facade of a Federation ship was achieved by particles synthesis, "beyond your understanding" Arturis tells Janeway; Arturis works the controls of his ship to try to block Voyager's transporters from evacuating the Voyager crew, but he only succeeds in keeping Janeway and Seven	Arturis tells them he is taking them to his home, into Borg space where they will be assimilated and become Borg drones; he initiates the quantum slipstream drive and the ship hurtles away from Voyager
Arturis accuses Janeway of wrongly interfering in the destiny of his people when a year earlier she formed an alliance with the Borg against Species 8472	Arturis says that hispeople had managed to resist the Borg until recently, when only about 20,000 of his people escaped including him
Arturis discovers that Janeway and Seven have escaped from the brig and are trying to access the ship's controls from the engine room so he blocks them	Janeway orders Seven to try and make the ship go off course, anything to delay reaching Borg space; Arturis is thrown from his seat at the helm but manages to regain control....
....and restore the ship's original heading	Janeway goes to the bridge and tries to persuade Arturis to give up his plan; Arturis destroys the navigational control so that the course is locked - no one, not even him, can change course
Voyager, having installed a quantum slipstream drive, tests the prototype as it chases after Arturis' ship and destroys its shields; as Janeway (and Seven) start to be beamed off Arturis' ship, Janeway says he can go with her but instead he takes a gun....	....and fires it at Janeway, but he is too late - her pattern is in Voyager's transporter buffers and she is gone
Arturis, his ship's course locked, enters Borg space	the Borg tell him: "You will be assimilated."
