JANET'S STAR TREK VOYAGER SITE

[HOPE AND FEAR] : BEHIND-THE-SCENES

The Director plans his shots of USS Dauntless' bridge

Scans by Janet.

On 26th February 1998, the Director for this episode, Winrich 'Rick' Kolbe, enters the Art Department to look closely at the 3 foot long model of the Dauntless' bridge. He decides where to place the camera and plans his shots.

Greg Berry observes as Richard James points out the details of the foam-core model of the Dauntless bridge set, while Rick Kolbe looks through a viewfinder to plan camera angles.

The Dauntless bridge set is under construction but should be finished by the date on the shooting schedule of 4th March. Meanwhile, Rick Kolbe will start shooting the episode with scenes which take place on Voyager's standing sets, the ship interiors. He can begin the next day, as soon as the crew "wraps", i.e. completes, the previous episode [One].

On Stage 16, the Dauntless bridge set takes shape.
