SPIRIT FOLK Episode 137 Part E
On Voyager's bridge, Janeway orders Tuvok: "Beam him out of there."
Tuvok: "His program's been disengaged from the mobile emitter." | |
 | Seamus finds the transport enhancers. "And what were you planning on doing with these?"
Kim: "Those are the devices that will allow us to leave. Just put them on our coats and we'll be on our way."
Milo: "You'd like us to believe that, wouldn't you." |
 | Seamus: "Something tells me these are spirit charms. We pin them on you and God knows what powers you'll have." |
 | Sullivan takes the mobile emitter from Milo and looks at it more closely. "This is no charm. It's some kind of machine."
Milo: "What does it matter? They won't be telling us the truth about any of it." |
 | Seamus: "Oh they'll tell us the truth alright. There's more than way to cut the wings off a pixie. We'll induce a trance." To Milo: "Will you give me Biddy Ramsay's silver spoon." Milo does so. Seamus starts to swing it in front of the Doctor, telling him: "Keep your eyes on the silverware, Father." |
 | As Seamus swings the watch, the Doctor tells him, fed up: "I hope you know this is blasphemous. Oh this is ridiculous. I can't be hypnotised." He sighs. |
| On Voyager's bridge, Chakotay reports: "I can't isolate the Doctor's program." | |
| Janeway is very worried. "He's been integrated into the Fair Haven matrix. He's vulnerable." | |
 | In St Mary's on the holodeck, the Doctor has fallen into a trance!
Seamus to the Doctor: "Tell us the words. How do we banish the spirit folk to the other world?"
The Doctor speaks in a trance: "There is no other world, only Voyager."
Milo: "Voyager?"
Doctor: "Federation starship, Intrepid class, registry number NCC-74656."
Sullivan: "You're from some sort of vessel?"
The Doctor acknowledges: "Mm-hm."
Seamus: "He's talking gibberish." |
 | Sullivan: "Maybe he's not." To Paris: "This ship of yours, is that where you took me?"
Seamus is consulting the 'Faerie Magyk' book. "Look here: it says if you can get a spirit to reveal his true name you'll render yourself impervious to his charms." None of the Fair Haven folk of course realise that the Doctor has no name.
Milo nods. He turns to the Doctor and demands: "What is your true name?"
Doctor: "I haven't decided on one yet."
Seamus realises that the book is useless and slams it shut.
Sullivan addresses Paris. "Katie's on that ship, isn't she? Tell me where to find her so that I can get to the bottom of this."
Paris: "I'm sorry, Michael. I can't do that."
Sullivan: "Then I guess I'm asking the wrong person." |
 | He turns to the Doctor. "Tell me how to get to Voyager." |
 | Milo: "What are you doing, Sullivan?
Seamus: "No man who's ever gone to the other world has ever come back!" |
 | Sullivan: "I have." He addresses the Doctor: "How do I get there?"
The Doctor looks up at him, then down at his closed hand. Sullivan opens his hand and looks at the mobile emitter.
|
 | On the bridge, Tuvok's monitor indicates "signal acquired". He reports: "Captain, the mobile emitter has been activated. |
 | Janeway: "Lock onto the signal." She looks up, expecting to see the Doctor. |
Tuvok does and so and invokes the transport. But it is Sullivan!
 | Janeway gets up, amazed. Sullivan stares back at her, equally amazed.
Sullivan, nervously: "I had a cousin who went to America. He saw some strange things, but nothing like this."
Janeway speaks calmly to reassure him. "You're not in America." She makes an important decision, stands up and starts to tell him the truth: "This is a starship. It's called-"
Sullivan: "Voyager. I know." |
 | Tuvok to Janeway: "Should I transfer him back to the holodeck?"
Janeway replies No." To Sullivan: "My name isn't Katie O'Clare. It's Kathryn Janeway, Captain Kathryn Janeway. It's going to be difficult to explain. Maybe it's best if I just show you."
Sullivan: "You've seen my world. Seems fair that I should have a chance to see yours." |
 | Chakotay: "Captain?" as Janeway shows Sullivan toward the turbolift, which will lead him into a strange new world. |
