NOTES
- Each DCWAD entry links to the relevant Episode Index in EPISODE GUIDES, and this page links to the Season Indexes of SHIP'S LOGS.
- Sources Details are from a combination of sources, namely the aired credits, VC, Encyclopaedia, TOSTW¹, and TOSTFF, as taken from the all-on-one page cast lists which have been on site for many years in VOYCABULARY (this site's illustrated encyclopedia with over 4,000 entries). Please note:
- VC distinguishes the guest cast into the categories "and", "also starring", "co-star", as per the aired credits (although VC sometimes omits a credit e.g. that for the actress who plays Annorax's wife, which I include; VC makes more than a few omissions). I do not categorise, although I place the co-stars (who are credited in the end credits) at the end (I cannot guarantee to have done this absolutely every time, however). Majel Barrett as Computer Voice (i.e. the voice of the Federation LCARS computer, whether on Voyager or another Federation starship or facility) is always credited as "co-star" in the end credits. I note special guest stars and give the way they are credited on screen.
- Where I noticed VC and TOSTW¹spelling errors for character names (e.g. VC spells Rettick incorrectly, it is spelled with a "c" in it), I have corrected them as per Encyclopaedia's and TOSTW's spellings (and therefore also usually as per TOSTFF).
Source VC Errors - over 60 entries, an (episode) entry often notes more than one VC error
- Where I noticed VC spelling errors for the name of an actress or actor, I have made corrections as per the episode credits, canon sources and sometimes also checked at IMDB (Internet Movie Database). For instance, VC spells the names of these two actresses wrong: Wendy Schaal and Lindsey Haun....these two being together in one episode entry as well! VC spells Haun correctly previously.
- The notation "TOSTW¹" is employed to indicate the version of TOSTW up to its site make-over in Spring 2003, specifically its combined synopses and cast lists; see also
Use by source VC of the official Star Trek website synopses (and why I believe VC's decision to copy the official Star Trek website 1st version synopses was a mistake).
In the cast lists:
- Character names or designations (e.g. "N.D." for non-descript) are given as per the aired credits and/or by TOSTW¹, except where I have altered or completed the details. Where I alter the details it is usually to correct TOSTW¹'s spelling. Sometimes I complete the details, usually (but not always) in italics within parenthesis.
- Character details (e.g. ship ranks, or the species name of "Alien #1") can be elicited (if mentioned or apparent in the series) from reading the SHIP'S LOGS (not necessarily in the much shorter EPISODE SYNOPSES nor in the SLIDESHOWS).
- The ensemble cast list is given in alphabetical order of actress or actor surname, as per Star Trek's credits convention.
- Roxann Biggs-Dawson and Roxann Dawson are the same person, credited as the former in Seasons 1 and 2.
- Jennifer Lien left the show at the end of Season 3, and is credited as a guest-star in [#70 The Gift] and [#143 Fury].
- There are a few episodes in which an ensemble cast member does not appear yet they are still credited because of course the opening titles are aired unchanged, so I have noted the occasional ensemble cast member absence.
- EPISODE NUMBERS As throughout the site, the episode number is the broadcast order. Episode numbers sometimes differ from production numbers. (Source VC's author Paul Ruditis uses production numbers as episode numbers, sometimes resulting in "impossible" sequences of events which of course do not happen because of the actual broadcast order.) For instance, [#36 Investigations] was filmed before [#35 Lifesigns] but the latter was broadcast first as its events occur before [36 Investigations]. Indeed, certain events in [#36 Investigations] depend on those in [#35 Lifesigns], as the two form part of the story arc about Paris' deteriorating behaviour and departure from USS Voyager.
