SEASON 1

[#1 and #2 Caretaker]
When Maquis commander Chakotay mysteriously vanishes in the Badlands along with his ship and crew, Starfleet Captain Janeway is assigned to search for them. She gains parole from prison for Tom Paris as, despite a short and sullied Starfleet career, he is just the maverick she needs - he once served under Chakotay and is a skilled starship pilot. But Janeway's ship, USS Voyager, encounters the same phenomenon that struck Chakotay. Voyager is brought to the Delta Quadrant, an extraordinary 70,000 light years from home. They have been captured by the Caretaker, who seeks a suitable lifeform to take over his task of protecting the vulnerable Ocampa species from the warlike Kazon. Paris replaces Voyager's dead pilot and embarks on adventures on, and below, the surface of the Ocampa planet. Along the way he learns some home truths about himself.

[#4 Time And Again] *
While investigating the remains of an alien city on a world destroyed recently by a polaric energy explosion, Paris and Janeway suddenly find themselves a day before the explosion. As they seek to return to their own time, they face a dilemma - whether to reveal the planet's fate to its citizens.

[#6 The Cloud]
USS Voyager inadvertently harms a non-corporeal lifeform and works to repair the damage. Meanwhile, Paris takes his new best friend, Harry Kim, into a holographic re-creation of Chez Sandrine, the Marseilles waterfront bar where he (Paris) misspent his Starfleet Academy days.

[#8 Ex Post Facto] *
Kim returns to Voyager from the planet Banea to report shocking news - Paris has been found guilty of murdering a Banean scientist. His punishment is to relive the victim's last moments via implanted images. As Paris' mental health deteriorates, Tuvok's own investigation is interfered with by the Numiri, an aggressive species at virtual war with the Baneans.

[#20 The 37's]
Voyager investigates a Ford pick-up truck floating in space which leads the crew to a planet, the source of its broadcast S.O.S. Paris is able to identify the S.O.S. and he also takes the helm as USS Voyager lands on a planet for the first time.

SEASON 2

[#23 Parturition] *
Neelix suspects Paris of having romantic designs on Kes. Neelix and Paris are sent on an away mission together and crash on an environmentally hostile planet. There they discover a newborn alien. Grievances about Kes are aired, but the pair must work together if they are to save the alien infant and escape the planet.

[#31 Threshold] *
Paris pilots an upgraded shuttlecraft to break the warp 10 barrier. But on returning to Voyager, he discovers that his historic flight has a terrible price.

[#32 Meld]
Tuvok getts too involved in the case as he investigates a murder among the crew. Meanwhile, Paris gets into trouble when he runs a sweepstake.

[#35 Lifesigns]
Voyager transports home an ailing Vidiian woman, whom the Doctor falls in love with. He seeks advice from Paris on romance. Later, Paris' continuing difficult behaviour culminates in his being confined to the Brig for assaulting an officer.

[#36 Investigations] *
In view of his disciplinary problems, Paris decides to leave Voyager forever to be a pilot in a Talaxian convoy. But the Kazon-Nistrim kidnap him, and Seska (former Voyager officer, Cardassian spy) looks forward to his help against former shipmates.

SEASON 3

[#45 The Chute] *
Paris and Kim are false convicted of a terrorist massacre and are incarcerated in an Akritirian prison, with their whereabouts a mystery to the Voyager crew. In the prison, a fellow inmate explains that the purpose of the painful Clamp (implanted in all inmates) is to kill them.

[#46 The Swarm]
Paris and Torres go scouting in a shuttlecraft and the time is punctuated by some flirting. Suddenly hostile aliens board and open fire on them.

[#47 False Profits]
Paris is one of the away team that discovers two Ferengi using 24th century technology to exploit a pre-warp society.

[#50 and #51 Future's End] *
USS Voyager is attacked by Captain Braxton who has travelled back in time to do so from the Federation of the 29th century. Braxton gives the shocking news that Voyager will cause a catastrophic explosion in his century. Voyager defends itself and is sucked into the past - Los Angeles, 1996. There, while investigating the mystery of "future's end", Paris befriends astronomer Rain Robinson.....who has just alerted the evil magnate Henry Starling to the presence of the Voyager "UFO".

[#58 Blood Fever]
Paris wishes that he and Torres were courting but, in caves beneath the planet Sakari, to his surprise he must suddenly contend with a Torres on heat. She is suffering the intensity of the Vulcan pon farr and wants Paris to mate with her. This story marks a significant development in their relationship.

[#66 Displaced]
The early stages of Torres' and Paris' long and often rocky courtship are seen in this story. When they leave a holodeck duelling-with-bat'leths simulation, Paris accuses Torres of being hostile. Their argument is interrupted by the sudden appearance of a bewildered Nyrian. At the same time, Kes disappears from the ship. It is the start of a mystery involving the gradual disappearance of the crew. Torres joins Janeway's team in searching for a way to escape from the Nyrians' prison habitat, to which the crew have been removed, and ends up with Paris in an ice world habitat where it looks as if they will freeze to death together.

[#67 Worst Case Scenario] *
Paris and Tuvok agree to collaborate on completing the latter's training holoprogram Insurrection Alpha, about a Maquis mutiny on Voyager. But as they enter the holoprogram, they discover that a saboteur has set a series of fatal booby-traps.

SEASON 4

[#71 Day Of Honor]
Torres is having a series of disasters. Paris shares her bad day when it culminates in them having to evacuate a shuttlecraft. As they drift in space in environmental suits with the oxygen running out, they decide that now is the time to reveal their true feelings for each other.

[#73 Revulsion]
Paris is ordered to work regular shifts in Sickbay. That bad news is then countered by good - he and Torres share their first kiss.

[#76 and #77 Year Of Hell]
Paris and Chakotay are captured by Annorax, a Krenim scientist who is desperately using his history-changing weapon to try and restore the timeline that he himself had changed. Annorax's target is now Voyager; his aim - to erase ship and crew from history.

[#86 and #87 The Killing Game]
The Hirogen, a species devoted to hunting and killing alien prey, has captured Voyager. They have forcibly brainwashed the crew using implanted neural devices, compelling the crew to fight in one deadly scenario after another. Paris' persona in these grim war games is that of an American army officer spearheading the liberation of a French village with the aid of the French Resistance.

[#88 Vis a Vis] *
Paris befriends an alien pilot who calls himself Steth. The pair work to restore Steth's sophisticated coaxial warp drive. But Steth is not what he seems.

[#92 Demon] *
Paris and Kim visit the surface of a planet whose environment is so hostile that its Starfleet Y-classification is universally known as "Demon-class". After an accident with a pool containing a mysterious mimetic substance, the pair's environmental suits are damaged and they face running out of oxygen.

SEASON 5

[#95 Night]
As Voyager traverses a region of space devoid of normal stellar bodies, 'The Adventures Of Captain Proton' are introduced in this story. The Adventures form Paris' black-and-white holographic tribute to Earth's early 20th century science-fiction films and series starring such as Buster Crabbe. Paris takes the role of the hero, Captain Proton, while Kim has the loyal sidekick role of Buster Kincaid, and there is also the dastardly megalomaniac villain (complete with evil laugh) in the form of holocharacter Dr Chaotica.

[#97 Extreme Risk]
Paris' elation at being part of the team to design a new shuttlecraft from scratch turns to concern for Torres - she is part of the design team but is uncharacteristically withdrawn and uninterested. An investigation into her strange behaviour reveals that she has been deliberately running dangerous holoscenarios with the safety protocols off, and has been badly injured on numerous occasions. The new shuttlecraft, called the Delta Flyer, sets out on its first mission with Paris at the helm, but will shuttle crewmember Torres prove a liability?

[#103 Thirty Days] *
Demoted to Ensign and sentenced to solitary confinement in the Brig for 30 days, Paris records a letter to his estranged father explaining how he earned this punishment. It all began when Voyager encountered a marine planet on the brink of disaster.....

[#106 Bride Of Chaotica!]
While running the holoseries 'The Adventures Of Captain Proton', Paris and Kim discover inter-dimensional tears in the holodeck which enable the evil holocharacter Chaotica to make war on real photonic beings.

[#107 Gravity]
Paris, Tuvok and an alien woman are trapped on a planet about to be crushed by a gravity sinkhole.

[#116 Someone To Watch Over Me]
Seven is caught making intrusive observations of Paris' and Torres' love life, and is urged by Janeway to explore dating directly for herself. The Doctor provides a holographic practice scenario for Seven. Paris bets him that her dating lessons will fail - a bet that both will later rue.

SEASON 6

[#125 Alice]
Paris becomes obsessed with restoring and flying a secondhand spacecraft which he christens Alice. The advanced craft features a neurogenic interface that taps directly into the pilot's brain for faster ship maneuverability. But Alice is no ordinary ship and has a sinister agenda of "her" own.

[#128 One Small Step]
Paris and Chakotay (history aficionados) and Seven (urged by Janeway to explore Man's past) take the Delta Flyer into a graviton ellipse. There they try to retrieve the Ares IV command module, a relic of Earth's 21st century pioneering history. When they locate the module what, or rather who, they find inside it unravels an historical mystery.

[#131 Fair Haven]
Paris ' latest holographic scenario is of an idyllic rustic Irish village called Fair Haven, at the turn of the 19th/20th century. With Voyager unable to outrun a neutronic wavefront, Janeway orders the crew fo "batten down the hatches" and allows 24-hour access policy so that they can relax in the holo-village. There the peace is disturbed, however, when Janeway falls for one of the holocharacters programmed by Paris.

[#137 Spirit Folk]
In the holo-village Fair Haven (see above entry), a holocharacter witnesses Pari's "magical" repair of a damaged car wheel (done by holodeck computer). The superstitious townfolk turn suddenly hostile toward the visiting Voyager crew, including Paris, whom they see as evil 'spirit folk'.

END OF SEASON 6 AND START OF SEASON 7

[#146 and #147 Unimatrix Zero]
Paris regains the rank of Lieutenant. For his demotion to Ensign, see the entry for [#103 Thirty Days]. The story focusses on a number of rebelling Borg drones and features Seven, Janeway, Torres and Tuvok.

SEASON 7

[#149 Drive] *
Fearing their romance is on the rocks, Torres decides she needs to share his interests and accordingly joins Paris when he pilots the Delta Flyer in the Antarian Trans-Stellar Rally, a friendly spaceship race designed to strengthen a recent peace agreement between previously warring species. But sabotage and a murder conspiracy get in the way before the lovers can decide their future together.

What the wedding would have been like can be inferred from the opening scene in [#112 Course Oblivion] in which the 'silver blood' duplicates Paris and Torres (ref. [#92 Demon]) get married. See also Tom And B'Elanna's Courtship, Wedding & Just Married.

[#158 Lineage] *
Torres learns she is pregnant. She and Paris are surprised but delighted, but then the memory of growing up as one of mixed species haunts her and, without telling him, she decides to carry out a genetic alteration of her unborn child.

[#160 Prophecy] *
Voyager encounters a cult of Klingons seeking their saviour. When their leader meets Torres, he decides that she is the one they have been looking for. But the doubter in the sect challenges Paris to a bat'leth duel.

[#166 Author Author]
The Doctor's holonovel, soon to be published in the Alpha Quadrant, portrays a starship vessel and crew very similar in appearance to Voyager and crew. But the holocharacters are murderous and also bigoted against holograms. Paris alters the holoprogram so that the Doctor can understand in a graphic way how his friends feel offended.

[#167 Friendship One]
Away teams trace the old Earth probe called Friendship One to a planet, where they find it malfunctioned, resulting in a nuclear winter. Paris is one of three Voyager crewmembers seized by the hostile natives who accuse them of causing the radiation that has ruined their lives.

[#170 Renaissance Man]
Paris and Tuvok set off in a shuttlecraft to pursue the Doctor after he steals Voyager's warp core.

[#171 and #172 Endgame]
Just as Torres goes into labour, Paris pilots Voyager into a Borg transwarp hub in a bold and dangerous plan to reach home.
