Naomi Wildman is the daughter of Ensign Samantha Wildman and Greskrendtregk, a Ktarian, who was left behind on Deep Space 9 in 2371 (he does not appear on tv in the show).

[Deadlock]

Naomi Wildman was born in 2372, on stardate 49548, seen in [#37 Deadlock] (in that episode we first learn Ensign Wildman's first name is Samantha). Her mother went into labour, and Naomi was delivered by a foetal transport procedure but suffered haemocythemia and died.

[Deadlock]
At this time Voyager had went through a spatial scission and became duplicated. When Vidiians boarded the duplicate ship in order to harvest body parts from the crew, the duplicate Janeway sent the duplicate Harry Kim and the duplicate baby (which had survived) over to Voyager before self-destructing the duplicate ship. Therefore the Naomi seen in all the stories since then is a duplicate.

[Basics, Part Two]
While she was a baby Naomi suffered an illness which was cured by a Hanonian during the time when Voyager's crew was stranded on the planet Hanon IV by the Kazon-Nistrim [Basics].

Despite difficulties getting the young Naomi to stand still long enough, the Doctor captures a holophoto of Naomi Wildman for his medical records using his holo-imager [Latent Image].

[Mortal Coil]
In 2372 Naomi's mother made Neelix Naomi's godfather. Only he could get her to sleep when she was troubled by monsters hiding somewhere in the bedroom. Neelix told her that he thinks about the Great Forest whenever he is afraid: Talaxians believe that they will all go to the Great Forest someday - it is a beautiful forest filled with sunlight and all the people who ever loved him are gathered there to watch over and protect him while he sleeps. Naomi later dreamt she was sitting contentedly beneath the Guiding Tree. picture: Neelix puts Naomi to bed

Flotter, Naomi, Trevis: holoadventure [#99 Once Upon A Time]
As a young child Naomi Wildman enjoyed 'The Adventures of Flotter', a holodeck children's story. Neelix tried to keep Naomi diverted with this holostory at a time when an away mission went wrong and her mother was trapped for a while under the planet's surface [#99 Once Upon A Time].

In 2375, along with the rest of the crew, Naomi has holo-images taken of her, to be added to her medical record. She winds up the Doctor with her apparently serious concerns with the process.

Naomi with toy. [Bliss]
Naomi Wildman was the only crewmember, other than Seven, who did not fall prey to the hallucinations created by the space creature in [#108 Bliss]; when Seven resisted being put into stasis by Chakotay, Naomi Wildman assisted Seven by ignoring Chakotay's order to release him and indeed by maintaining the Borg forcefield erected by Seven. Later Naomi went to find Seven who had been shocked unconscious by an artificially-induced feedback from a work console.

[#109 and #110 Dark Frontier]
When Seven was kidnapped by the Borg Queen in [#109 and #110 Dark Frontier], Naomi Wildman presented a plan to Janeway whereby the sensors could be adjusted to search for her.
Naomi: "If we change our long-range sensors to Seven's cortical implant frequency maybe we can find her."
Janeway: "The Delta Quadrant is a very big place and Seven could be thousands of light-years from here."
Naomi: "What if we boosted our sensor range with power from the main deflector?"
Janeway: "You've been spending too much time in Engineering. I'm afraid it's not quite that simple. But thank you, crewman, your initiative is duly noted."
Naomi: "Captain, you're not going to give up, are you?"
Janeway: "There are three things to remember about being a starship captain: keep your shirt tucked in, go down with the ship, and never abandon a member of your crew."
Computer: "Transpectral analysis complete."
Janeway: "Take a look at this, Naomi. What do you see?"
Naomi: "Sensor logs."
Janeway: "These aren't random energy fluctuations. They're Borg com-signals, and they were all directed at cargo bay 2."
Naomi: "You mean the Borg were targetting Seven of Nine?"
Janeway: "It sure looks that way. Come on."

[Equinox]
Janeway made Naomi 'captain's assistant', and in that "capacity" she welcomed aboard Marla Gilmore of the USS Equinox.

Players arrive for a kadiskot game. Naomi is already seated. [Ashes to Ashes] players assembled
In 2376 when Naomi played kadiskot with the children who had formerly been Borg, Naomi detected that the twins, Azan and Rebi, were cheating and told Neelix [Ashes to Ashes].

She has made a particular friend of Seven of Nine as seen in [#101 Infinite Regress], [#108 Bliss], [#129 The Voyager Conspiracy] and other episodes. In [#122 Survival Instinct] she is delighted to learn that Seven thinks of her as "family".

Naomi and Seven play a weekly game of kadiskot, which was once postponed, in [#129 The Voyager Conspiracy], because Seven had installed a cortical processing sub-unit in her regeneration alcove which would allow her to assimilate the ship's status reports in only a matter of hours. Unfortunately some of the conclusions drawn from such a mass of data were seriously flawed, including her telling Naomi that her Ktarian father was a Federation agent!, and Seven eventually dismantled the cortical processor. Seven informed Naomi the lesson she herself had learnt: "Assimilating three books and ten reports is impressive, but quantity is less relevant than quality. You must be able to interpret the data and enjoy the process."

[Alice]
Naomi Wildman made a 'get well' card for Tom Paris which Torres delivered to him in sickbay after he had been checked over after being linked to the ship Alice via a neurogenic interface. [#125 Alice]

When Naomi is sad, she likes to eat desserts. [#134 Memorial]

In 2377, in [#134 Memorial], Naomi has a frightening experience in Voyager's messhall when Neelix takes her 'hostage' while trying to protect her against security officers. Neelix is actually suffering from traumatic memories created by an alien memorial that he encountered while on a two-week away mission shortly beforehand. In the delusion, Neelix believes that he has to defend Naomi against soldiers conducting a massacre of unarmed civilians.

[#157 Shattered]
Naomi also spends time with Icheb e.g. in [#157 Shattered], in the cargo bay, Icheb watches Naomi Wildman assembling a jigsaw of a humanoid DNA molecule. She puts a piece into a gap in the puzzle which completes a major part of the molecule.
Naomi: "There."
Icheb: "Excellent. You recognized the complementary base pair."
Naomi: "Actually, I just found two pieces that fit together."
Icheb: "You're missing the point."
Naomi: "I thought the "point" was to finish the puzzle."
Icheb: "And learn something about genetics."
Naomi: "If you really want to help, find me a green piece that looks like Tuvok's ear."

Naomi in 2394 as seen in [#157 Shattered]. Her appearance will presumably be the same but her situation, that of being aboard USS Voyager in the Delta Quadrant, is an unrealised timeline.
