[#1 and #2 Caretaker] When Maquis commander Chakotay mysteriously vanishes in the Badlands along with his ship and crew, Starfleet Captain Janeway is assigned to search for them. Kim joins her ship, USS Voyager, at the Bridge's Ops station on this his first Starfleet mission. He meets Tom Paris. When Voyager is taken into the Delta Quadrant, the crew learn the fate of the disappearing Maquis and encounter the mysterious Caretaker. But Kim finds himself detained with an alien race, and is told he has a terminal illness.

[#9 Emanations] * Kim is transported to the Vhnori homeworld where the inhabitants believe he has returned from the afterlife.

SEASON 2

[#22 Non Sequitur] * Kim wakes up in an alternate reality in which he is living on Earth and was not assigned to USS Voyager.

[#37 Deadlock] After USS Voyager hides from the hostile Vidiians, ship and crew are duplicated. Both Kim and his duplicate have roles to play as both crews struggle to hold their ships together and deal with the scission.

SEASON 3

[#45 The Chute] * Kim and Paris are wrongly imprisoned for a terrorist crime. In the prison's hellish conditions, friendship is tested to the limit.

[#56 Alter Ego] Kim falls in love with a holodeck character and turns to Tuvok for help in overcoming his infatuation, but the holocharacter is not what she seems.

[#62 Favorite Son] * Kim is mysteriously drawn to stay on the planet of Taresia. But the women of Taresia have a sinister secret.

END OF SEASON 3 AND START OF SEASON 4

[#68 and #69 Scorpion] The Borg Collective has met its match in a mysterious new enemy, known only by its Borg designation Species 8472. Species 8472 threatens to purge the galaxy and Kim is viciously ambushed by one of them. As Kim lies dying in Sickbay, the Doctor tries to find the treatment, one that might also provide a weapon against the deadly Species 8472.....but between the Borg and Species 8472 which is the greater threat?

SEASON 4

[#86 and #87 The Killing Game] The Voyager crew are compelled to fight deadly battles on the holodeck without safety protocols, hunted by their captors the Hirogen, and if hurt they are medically treated and sent back in. Kim and the Doctor are two crewmembers being respectively forced by the Hirogen to extend the holodecks and patch up the crew between fights. The pair hatch a daring plan to attempt to retake the ship.

[#92 Demon] * Kim and Paris land on the extremely environmentally hostile demon-class planet.

SEASON 5

[#100 Timeless] * Fifteen years in the future, Kim, wracked by survivor-guilt, and Chakotay are Voyager's only survivors. They embark on a bold and illegal plan to change the past and prevent the deaths of their shipmates.

[#111 The Disease] * Breaking Starfleet regulations, Kim carries on a romance with a Varro woman. He later learns she too is transgressing, but her offence is more serious - sabotage.

SEASON 6

[#131 Fair Haven] As with other members of the crew, Kim spends time in Tom Paris' latest holoprogram, that of an old rural Irish village. There he engages in rustic pursuits such as arm-wrestling.....and brawling.

[#134 Memorial] After Kim and several others return from an away mission, vivid images of a battle haunt the crew. They remember perpetrating a massacre of unarmed alien civilians, but they never committed such an atrocity, or did they?

[#136 Collective] Kim, Chakotay, Paris and Neelix come under attack from a Borg cube. The others are captured but by luck Kim avoids initial capture and, guided by instructions from Voyager, sets out on a rescue mission.

[#137 Spirit Folk] Characters who form part of the Holodeck program Fair Haven become suspicious of the Voyager crew when they notice strange, other-worldly happenings.

[#138 Ashes To Ashes] * Kim believes it can be love second time around when a Voyager ensign who died two years ago returns to the ship after being brought back to life, or 're-animated', by the Kobali species.

[#142 Muse] Kim's Delta Flyer escape pod lands on a planet with a pre-warp society. While Torres, who went down with the ship, tries to cope with the inhabitants, Kim sets out to find her.

SEASON 7

[#154 Nightingale] * In command of the Delta Flyer, Kim comes to the aid of a Kraylor medical transport vessel which under attack. He agrees to captain the stricken ship, which he names Nightingale, on its perilous journey home. But then he discovers the truth about Nightingale.

[#171 and #172 Endgame] In the Alpha Quadrant of the future, Admiral Janeway has to seek the aid of Captain Harry Kim as she leaves to revisit USS Voyager in the past in the Delta Quadrant. There she reveals her plan to change her timeline and bring Voyager home early.
