Before I met you, 8 or 9 years seemed like an eternity. It never occurred to me that anyone could live longer. Now that we're together, no matter how many years we have left, it doesn't seem like enough. But the important thing is to cherish whatever time we have together, whether it's a day, or a decade.

But isn't that why we have minds? To look beyond biological urges to consider their consequences? If I'm going to ask myself to look at those consequences then I have to ask myself some questions. Am I really ready to have a child? Am I prepared to give that child the attention and devotion it deserves? Am I capable of taking on such a huge responsibility? There's so much I haven't done There's so much I want to study and learn. I'm not sure I'm finished growing. How could I help a child grow?
They'd better be alright, because when I see them I'm personally going to tell them that I never intend to speak to either one of them again!
You've never been sick or in pain. I just wish once in your life you could know what it's like, how it make you feel vulnerable and a little afraid, then you'd understand.

I can't pretend to know what your life's been like, but I do know there's nothing sadder than a missed opportunity.

Everyone here has been so good to me. I don't want you to think I'm ungrateful. I've just been thinking that maybe there's more. I don't know what that means. But I know I'm changing and I know that there are things that I'm not satisfied with. I want complication in my life.
Families, societies, cultures wouldn't have evolved without compassion and tolerance. They would have fallen apart without it.
