ROMANCE

Until the closing episodes of Season 7 Chakotay has not been lucky in love.

His first known involvement was with Seska.

He became close to Janeway and romance seemed on the horizon in [Resolutions].

In [#59 Unity] Chakotay met Riley Frazier when his shuttlecraft crashlanded on a planet, orbiting which was a disabled Borg cube containing inactive Borg drones. She was a human who had been assimilated into the Borg collective but, along with the other inhabitants of the planet, had been severed from the collective. To cure his injuries, Chakotay allowed himself to be connected to the minds of her and several former Borg. As a result of seeing each other's minds, they became close.

[#90 Unforgettable]

In [Unforgettable] Chakotay met Kellin of Ramura. She contacted Voyager to ask for asylum, and she tells Chakotay that they met about a month ago and that she spent several weeks on Voyager, although he does not remember because she wiped clean the memories of everyone on the ship. She came back because she fell in love with him. She is a tracer, and they met when she was carrying out her job which was to find runaways and bring them home. She was trained in weaponry, surveillance and fighting skills. Just as Chakotay started falling in love with her (again), one of her people arrived and wiped her memory clean using a Ramuran neurolytic emitter. Chakotay tries to convince her to stay on Voyager, but she wants to go back with the tracer instead. Chakotay's memory and that of the whole crew and computer records also have all record of Kellin's visit erased but Chakotay makes a written record of their time together before he loses his memory, so that he would not forget.

[#98 In the Flesh]

In [#98 In the Flesh] Chakotay met a member of Species 8472 in human disguse with the name Valerie Archer.

[#171 and #172 Endgame]

In 2377, Chakotay and Seven begin a romance which, we know from events in an alternative future as depicted in [#171 and #172 Endgame], will end in their marriage. We do not know exactly when the romance commenced, but we have to surmise it was after the events portrayed in [#164 Human Error]. In [#171 and #172 Endgame], they have reached their third date.
