VOTH

words are by Michael Westmore

Tova Veer, [#65 Distant Origin]
The Voth is probably one of my favourite shows that we did in preparation, for shooting and even shooting. (The Voth feature in [#65 Distant Origin].) The concept of the story about humans landing on a dinosaur world and all of a sudden the ancient race to them is the human race. The Voth not only had a wonderful sculpture for their head, we were able to take and extend it back. These are humanoid dinosaurs we are running into, but we had contact lenses in their eyes, we had teeth in their mouth, they had hands. I mean, the Voth was a character totally encased in make-up, and every one of them distinctively different - the paint jobs on heads. I still have some of the heads in the laboratory, saved up on the show.
