The co-writer of [#18 Elogium] Jimmy Diggs named this character after Samantha Wildman, a girl who lived in Florida and who died at the age of 7. Her parents donated her kidneys for transplant and thus saved Digg's wife Linnette. When Diggs learned that the girl had loved animals, he made the character a xenobiologist. Scarlett Pomers plays Naomi Wildman in all the episodes in which the character appears except for [#80 Mortal Coil]. In that episode Naomi is played by Brooke Stephens. |
