The Dream of Flight - Page 4
Screenshots of the flying machine in [ 79 Concerning Flight]
The machine is a mix of Leonardo designs and, as crewed by Holo-Leonardo and Janeway, is seen in [Voyager] as follows:
We see an early version of Holo-Leonardo's design in [ 74 The Raven]:
 [ 74 The Raven]
 [ 74 The Raven]
after his prototype fails and he and Kathryn Janeway (whom he calls Catarina) land in the River Arno, she suggests he under-estimated the wingspan, and Holo-Leonardo stares at the design drawing and then tears it up
after his "kidnap" to what he thinks is the New World, actually Tau's planet, Holo-Leonardo's interest in designing a flying machine is rekindled

Holo-Leonardo fastens Janeway in her seat. Holo-Leonardo: "Together, up." Janeway: "Andiamo!"
[ 79 Concerning Flight] | Janeway and Holo-Leonardo quickly walk the machine to the edge of the precipice and push off. |
[ 79 Concerning Flight] | Holo-Leonardo: "Catarina, we're flying!" Janeway: "Like the birds!" Holo-Leonardo: "Like the birds!"
Flight is achieved thanks to the use of 24th century metals including duranium alloy. |
