LIVING WITNESS
Episode 91 : Part B

The episode's script uses "Revised" for certain characters. I shall do the same.

In the Sickbay of the Revised Voyager, Revised Chakotay is supervising the brutal interrogation of a Kyrian prisoner. Revised Kim, wearing black gloves, has been beating the prisoner whose faces bears the welts and bruises testifying to the torture. Revised Chakotay bends close to the prisoner: "Their location?"

Revised Kim hits the prisoner then tells him: "Look, I can keep this up all day. Tell the Commander what he wants to know." The prisoner says nothing. Revised Kim strikes him across the face, so hard that the prisoner's body jerks back and forth. Revised Kim shakes his hand which he has hurt after using such brutal force, and comments to himself and Revised Chakotay: "Maybe I can't keep this up all day."

Revised Chakotay tries to appeal to the prisoner, pretending to be his friend. "I'm a man of peace. My native people are enlightened, non-violent, much like your own. I'm saddened that this has happened to you. If we can work together, maybe we can end this conflict."

Revised Kim is holding a hyperspanner: "Stand aside, Chakotay. Let me hit him."
The Revised Doctor approaches and tells Revised Kim: "That hyperspanner would cause an unacceptable level of damage. I remind you: he must still be able to speak."
Revised Kim to Revised Doctor: "What do you have in mind?"

The Revised Doctor is holding a hypospray. "This neural solvent: a clean and efficient inducer of pain, far more effective than your crude attempts at persuasion."

The hypospray makes a sharp sound as the Revised Doctor injects the neural solvent into the prisoner's neck. The prisoner winces as it fires into his body.

The neural solvent begins to take effect, causing excruciating pain.

The Revised Doctor addresses the prisoner tonelessly as the prisoner writhes in agony: "No doubt you are experiencing a tingling sensation behind your eyes. The chemical is dissolving your optic nerves."

Revised Kim looks on, enjoying watching the prisoner's suffering.

Revised Chakotay: "I'll ask you again: where is Tedran?"
Revised Doctor to prisoner: "The pain will increase exponentially, until your cerebral cortex begins to liquify." The prisoner writhes even more as the excruciating pain takes him. "I can reverse the process, if ordered to do so."
Revised Chakotay bends close to the prisoner in an obscene travesty of sympathy and concern. "And I want to give that order. But you have to tell me: where is Tedran?"

Later, on the Bridge of the Revised Voyager, Revised Chakotay points to a position on a map being displayed on a monitor. He tells the Revised Captain: "He's here, at these co-ordinates."

Revised Janeway: "Assuming our prisoner told you the truth."
Revised Chakotay: "Oh believe me, he was very co-operative at the end."
Revised Janeway: "Neelix?"
Revised Neelix: "I'm reading a fortified compound 1.6 kilometres beneath the surface."
Revised Janeway: "Chakotay, you and Tuvok take an assault team and find Tedran. Make sure he's escorted safely to Voyager."
Revised Chakotay: "Yes, Sir."

As he leaves to organise the assault team, the ship jolts. Revised Janeway says testily: "What now?"
Revised Paris: "Intruders. Four Kyrians just beamed into the engine room."
Revised Janeway uses the com. system: "Bridge to Engineering. Respond." There is no response.
Revised Neelix: "They've erected forcefields. Our soldiers can't get in."
Revised Janeway: "They've left me no choice. Computer, initiate the Borg activation sequence."

The computer of the Revised Voyager has a male voice. It reports: "Sequence in progress."
Revised Janeway: "Bridge to Seven of Nine."
In the Revised cargo bay, the Revised version of Seven of Nine is fully Borg. In her Borg alcove she wakes/activates. Via comms: "State your instructions."
Revised Janeway, via comms: "A group of Kyrians is in the engine room. Stop them."
Revised Seven of Nine: "We understand."

She moves to a Borg control panel and presses some controls.

In the other alcoves, the Borg drones activate.

As one they step out of the alcoves and stand ready for orders.

In the engine room, the Kyrian boarding party has laid low the crew there and are trying to access the controls.

The Borg drones start to beam in.

Beaming completed.

A Kyrian fires his gun at an advancing drone but its fire-power bounces harmlessly off the Borg personal shield.

Then the Borg drone reaches the Kyrian and fells him without effort.

Another drone kills another Kyrian.

Revised Seven of Nine neutralises another Kyrian. As he falls, she states: "Resistance is futile." Via comms: "Seven of Nine to the Bridge. The Kyrian threat has been neutralised."

Revised Janeway, via comms: "Acknowledged."
Revised Seven of Nine, via comms: "Two of the Kyrians are still alive. What shall we do with them?"
Revised Janeway, via comms: "Well, you've been wanting to expand your fighting force. Assimilate them."

Revised Seven of Nine, via comms: "We understand."

Revised Kim enters the Bridge from the turbolift, crouches down and talks to the Revised Captain. "I just received word from the attack team."
Revised Janeway: "Good news, Lieutenant?"
Revised Kim: "Very. They've captured Tedran and one of his aides. They're heading back to Voyager."
Revised Janeway: "Take them to Chamber 19 and get the Vaskan Ambassador. This is one negotiation he won't want to miss."
Revised Kim gets up, turns and walks into the turbolift to carry out his orders.
