DAY 226

Voyager forges a coalition with the Nihydron and the Mawasi to attack the time-ship.

Janeway informs those remaining on Voyager that she has analysed every carrier wave of the transmission from the time-ship and states that the message contains a classified Starfleet ID code which could that have come from Tom Paris: "It's real." He has sent the co-ordinates that will lead them directly to the weapons ship, approximately 50 lightyears away. She orders Tuvok, Neelix, Seven and the Doctor to the Mawasi ships, and Torres and Kim to the Nihydron vessel to work with their engineers to install temporal shielding for their entire ship. When they are in range of the weapons ship, Paris will transmit the exact location of the temporal core so that it can be destroyed.

Doctor: "What about yourself?"
Janeway: "I'll be piloting Voyager, co-ordinating the attack."
Torres: "Captain, there's barely enough of this ship left to get there, much less wage a war."
Janeway: "There's still got temporal shields, six photon torpedoes, it'll hold together. Besides you know the adage: the captain goes down with the ship, right?"

Janeway and Tuvok say farewell.
Janeway: "Tuvok, I can hear your objections already. I am not leaving."
Tuvok: "Given Voyager's damaged state, the odds of your surviving an armed conflict is marginal."
Janeway: "Oh, I know the odds. I have to stay. Voyager's done too much for us."
Tuvok: "Curious. I've never understood the human compulsion to emotionally bond with inanimate objects. This vessel has 'done' nothing. It's an assemblage of bulkheads, conduits, tritanium, nothing more."
Janeway: "Oh, you're wrong. It's much more than that. This ship has been our home, it's kept us together, it's been part of our family. As illogical as this might sound, I feel as close to Voyager as I do to any other member of the crew. It's carried us, Tuvok, even nurtured us, and right now it needs one of us."

Janeway, now alone on Voyager. She holds the watch that Chakotay gave her.

DAY 257

The alliance of the Mawasi and the Nihydron, led by Voyager, advance on the weapons ship. The Mawasi and Nihydron ships have been equipped with temporal shielding and brings the new shields on line. Annorax destroys 2 of the Nihydron vessels.

Obrist reports to Annorax the convergence of six ships on the time-ship: "Three Nihydron warships, two Mawasi cruisers, and Voyager."
Annorax: "We're outside space-time, impervious to their weapons. Let them come."
Chakotay: "I know Captain Janeway. She wouldn't be attacking unless she knew she could do some damage."

Paris works in his quarters on the time-ship, now in contact with Voyager.

Chakotay distracts Annorax by telling him that if Janeway gave the temporal shielding to the Nihydron and the Mawasi, they will be able to protect their homeworlds from Annorax's weapon.
Annorax: "Bring the weapon to full power. Prepare for multiple incursions. We will have to disable their temporal shields first."

The time-ships use conventional weapons against the attack (which is in attack pattern omega) and destroy two Nihydron vessels. Janeway realises the temporal core has not yet been shut down: "Evasive pattern delta. We're going to have to wait." Annorax orders Obrist to target the other vessels, but instead Obrist de-activates the temporal core and transports Chakotay and Paris to one of the Mawasi ships, the one with Tuvok on who reports this to Janeway. Annorax pushes Obrist out of the way. He realises the time-ship is phasing back into normal space-time and orders his men to reconfigure for conventional weapons.

The fleet attacks the time-ship.

One of the Mawasi ships is hit and crashes into Voyager.

Hurled to the floor by the impact, Janeway crawls back to the captain's chair.

View from Voyager's bridge of the time-ship. Annorax: "Target Voyager. Put Janeway out of her misery."

Tuvok: "All our ships have been disabled. Do you have weapons?"
Janeway: "Negative. Torpedo launchers are down. I'm setting a collision course. Janeway to the fleet: take your temporal shields offline."
Tuvok: "Captain, we won't be protected."
Janeway: "Exactly. If that ship is destroyed all of history might be restored and this is one year I'd like to forget." As she heads into the crash: "Time's up."

As the time-ship is destroyed, it causes a temporal incursion within the ship. Annorax hurries into his chambers....

.....in time only to see the case containing his wife's lock of hair fall on the ground and the glass shatter. The lock vanishes, everything vanishes....
