SCORPION Episodes 68 & 69 Part T

The bridge's viewscreen shows an armada of bio-ships swarming after Voyager. Paris draws Janeway's attention to the pursuit. "Captain."

Janeway: "Kes, are you still in contact?" Kes: "Yes." Janeway: "Tell them if they continue their attack, we'll use the weapon again." Kes tries to make telepathic contact. "They're not responding."

Janeway: "Evasive maneuvers." Paris: "They're in pursuit." Janeway to Tuvok: "Prepare to fire the high-yield warhead - aft torpedo bay."

Seven of Nine observes.

The bio-ships open fire at Voyager.

Tuvok: "Ready, Captain!" Janeway: "Do it." Tuvok hits a control and the high-yield torpedo is fired from an aft torpedo tube.

The torpedo streaks into the thick of the bio-ships and explodes in a series of concentric shockwaves. It is a massive blast which rips through dozens of the bio-ships as it expands through space.

Tuvok: "Thirteen bio-ships have been destroyed. The others are in retreat."

Seven of Nine 'listens' and reports to Janeway: "I have regained full contact with the Collective."
Janeway: "What are they saying?"
Seven of Nine: "All remaining bio-ships in the Delta Quadrant are returning to their realm. The Borg have prevailed."
Janeway: "With a little help from us. Now, it's time you fulfilled your end of the agreement. Tell the Collective we expect safe passage from here on out. We'll give you a shuttlecraft. You can head for the nearest Borg ship."
Seven of Nine: "Unacceptable. This alliance is terminated. Your ship and its crew will adapt to service us."

She steps purposefully toward the helm. Paris gets up and fires a phaser at her, but it hits a Borg personal forcefield.

Seven of Nine shoves Paris aside, saying: "Resistance is futile."

Seven of Nine puts a fist at the console's interface and assimilation tubules extend from her knuckles and penetrate the console.

Kim: "Captain, she's tapping into helm control. She's trying to access our co-ordinates!" The console goes haywire as Borg technology begins to assimilate it. Janeway: "Shut her out." Kim: "I can't."

Janeway taps her combadge. combadge "Bridge to Chakotay." She speaks a codeword. "Scorpion."
