 | | SCORPION Episodes 68 & 69 Part Q |
 | Somewhere, space ripples and distorts, then a quantum singularity opens with a flash of light and energy. Species 8472 bio-ships come roaring out of the rift and into our space. |
 | There is fierce battle as the bio-ships devastate a Borg force. |
 | In Voyager's cargo bay, Seven of Nine and the other Borg drones can "see" these images and hear the Borg Collective: "Species 8472 has penetrated Matrix Zero-One-Zero, Grid Nineteen. Eight planets destroyed; three hundred twelve vessels disabled; four million, six hundred, twenty-one Borg eliminated." |
 | The Borg Collective gives an order: "We must seize control of the Alpha Quadrant vessel, and take it into the alien realm."
Seven of Nine: "We understand." |
|
 | Two Borg Drones open a wall panel, accessing a Jefferies tube. |
 | Seven of Nine climbs into it and looks around it. |
 | On the Bridge, Paris reports: "Class H moon, oxygen-argon atmosphere."
Chakotay: "It'll do. Take us out of warp and enter orbit."
Paris: "Aye, sir."
Chakotay: "Tuvok, stand by to transport the Borg directly from the cargo bay. After they're on the surface, have Security run a sweep of-" |
 | Kim: "I'm reading power fluctuations in the deflector array."
Chakotay: "Cause?"
Kim: "It looks like the Borg have accessed deflector control. They're trying to re-align the emitters."
Chakotay: "Shut them out." |
 | Meanwhile, inside the Jefferies tube, Seven of Nine is making adjustments to Voyager's internal circuitry.
Kim: "They've bypassed security protocols." |
 | Voyager's deflector dish sends out a convergence of three beams of energy out into space. |
 | As the energy beam strikes a region of space ahead of Voyager, it causes space to ripple and distort. |
 | Torres: "They're emitting a resonant gravitation beam. It's creating another singularity!"
Chakotay to Paris: "Reverse course."
The ship judders.
Paris: "We're fighting intense gravimetric distortion. I can't break free!"
|
 | Chakotay, via comms: "Bridge to Cargo Bay 2. Stop what you're doing, or I'll depressurise that deck and blow you out into space." There is no response. "This is your final warning."
There is still no response. Chakotay turns to Tuvok. "Do it." Tuvok activates the controls. |
 | The cargo bay door opens, the deck depressurises, and Borg drones float out into the vacuum of space. |
Voyager's cargo bay doors open to space, the interior is depressurised and all but one of the Borg drones drift into space. (pop-up window)
|
 | Seven of Nine manages to grab hold of the bulkhead and hold on. |
 | Tuvok: "Decompression cycle complete." |
 | Kim: "I still don't have deflector control."
Tuvok: "Commander, a single Borg has survived." |
 | The ship trembles.
Paris: "We're being pulled in!"
Voyager is pulled into the quantum singularity! Once the ship is inside, the quantum singularity collapses. |
 | Chakotay: "Report."
Tuvok: "We appear to have crossed an interdimensional rift."
Paris: "We've definitely left our galaxy. No stars, no planets."
Chakotay: "Let's see."
The viewscreen shows somewhere with no no stars. Space itself has a strange texture.
Torres: "I'm recalibrating sensors. The entire region is filled with some kind of organic fluid. This isn't space. It's matter." |
 | Seven of Nine signals. comms. signal Via comms: "Commander Chakotay. We have entered the domain of Species 8472. Report to the cargo bay."
Chakotay: "Paris, repressurise Cargo Bay 2. Tuvok."
Chakotay and Tuvok head for the turbolift. |
