Tuvok climbs up through the hatch onto the mag-lev carriage's roof. It is very windy and cold at that atmospheric height and he has to work hard not to lose his balance. He manages to shut the roof hatch. Then he looks round.

There is only one access panel in sight. He removes the cover and discovers an object that does not seem to fit in with the rest of the circuitry. He gets out his tricorder and scans it, then presses some buttons on it. It is a data storage device, which displays schematics and statistics.

	Tuvok clicks his combadge. "Tuvok to Neelix." combadge
	Neelix clicks his combadge and answers. "Go ahead." Tuvok: "I have found a data storage device lodged in the internal circuitry. It appears to contain information about an alien starship, but I will need to remove it and bring it into the cabin for further examination. Neelix: "Be careful up there. If you can't remove it, don't."
	He breaks off contact as he sees Sklar at the top of the ladder and on the gantry, heading for the roof hatch. "Sklar! What are you doing?!"
	As Neelix climbs the ladder in pursuit, Sklar returns. As Neelix gets almost to the top of the ladder, Sklar kicks him backwards off the ladder. Neelix lands heavily and rolls over. He is injured, with blood pouring from a wound on his head. He does not move!

Lillias cries out, "Neelix!" and runs over to him. As she looks up briefly, she sees Sklar heading back toward the roof hatch.

Up on the roof Sklar grabs hold of Tuvok, and shoves him hard.
Tuvok, caught by surprise, loses his balance. Sklar pushes him off the roof!

Then Sklar picks up Tuvok's phaser, which is lying on the roof, goes to the access panel, sees the data storage device and takes it.

What Sklar does not know is that Tuvok has managed to catch hold of part of the mag-lev carriage and is clinging on!

Sklar goes back through the roof hatch and inside the carriage. Hanjuan and Lillias are bent over Neelix. Hanjuan: "Where's Tuvok?" Sklar walks along the gantry to the ladder, phaser in hand. "Mr Tuvok returned to the surface." He descends the ladder, pointing the phaser at them. He calls to Neelix. "Get this carriage moving." Hanjuan: "What are you doing?" Sklar: "Now!"

Lillias, somewhat defiantly: "He can't. He's hurt." Sklar: "Back away." He approaches Neelix's prone unconscious body. He kicks him. "Get up! Get up!" but still Neelix does not move. Sklar turns to Hanjuan and Lillias. "Well now. We're going to have to figure out how to fly this vessel."

	On Voyager's bridge, Kim reports: "Captain, the asteroid is within visual range." Janeway: "Let's see it." The main viewscreen shows a huge starship, not an asteroid! "Ensign?" Kim: "There's a large crew complement, at least two thousand."
	Chakotay, who is at the security/tactical station: "They remodulated their shields to fool our sensors. We're being hailed." Janeway: "On screen."
	Etanian Order ship commander: "The Etanian Order claims this territory. You will withdraw." Janeway: "This planet belongs to the Nezu. They have five colonies here." Etanian Order ship commander: "You are not Nezu?"
	Janeway: "I'm a friend of theirs, Kathryn Janeway. And I'm not going anywhere until you've lowered your weapons and-" Etanian Order ship commander: "You would be willing to die for them? A loyal friend, and a foolish one." He closes contact.
	Chakotay: "There'll be here in under ten minutes, Captain." Purposefully Janeway goes to her captain's chair and sits down. Coolly she orders: "Battle stations." Immediately the lights dim, the klaxon sounds and red alert status lamps flash.
