At Chronowerx, in the laboratory/workshop where the Aeon is stored....

Dunbar has got into the cockpit of the Aeon.

Computer (has a male voice): "SATCOM 47 activated." Dunbar: "Engage Starling location sweep." Computer: "Sweep underway."

Voyager's Bridge. Tuvok, via comms: "We're in Arizona. Chakotay and Torres are thirty kilometres north east of Phoenix." Janeway, via comms: "Good. Get to them as soon as you can." Contact ends. Kim: "Captain, there's a transport in progress."

Janeway: "What?!"

Dunbar beams Starling off Voyager, to the surprise of the security guards.

Kim: "Starling's gone. He's beamed to the surface." Janeway, looking at the instruments: "He's got some kind of satellite in orbit." Kim: "Sent a transporter signal through our shields like they weren't there." Janeway: "Where's Starling now?" Kim: "Tracking the signal. He's back at the Chronowerx building."

Starling's office at Chronowerx. Starling: "Mr Dunbar, good work. I think it's time to get out of here."

Rain approaches Chronowerx and parks (rather sloppily). The picture shows her approach to the kerb.

Paris: "I guess this is goodbye." Rain turns the engine off. "Guess it is. Listen, are you busy tomorrow night? 'Cos, erm, you know, we should hang together." Paris: "I can't."

Rain: "Oh, well, what about this weekend?" Paris: "Erm-" Rain: "You're married." Paris: "Absolutely not! Just," he searches for the right word, "very busy." Rain: "Yeah, you've got to get back to Mars, right?" Paris: "Saturn." Rain: "That's perfect! I told you I always loved Saturn! So, give me your phone number." Paris: "Rain-"

They are interrupted by an audio alert from his tricorder. He looks at the readings. "Tachyon emissions."

They are coming from a large lorry heading out of the Chronowerx car park. "They're moving the timeship."

Rain: "Timeship? What are you talking about?" Paris: "You wouldn't mind hanging with me for a while longer, eh?" Rain is delighted and gives a broad beam as she starts the engine.

In the cellar in Arizona, Chakotay, Torres and guard Butch know the authorities have arrived as they can hear the commotion.
Army officer, through a loudhailer: "We want the aircraft, and the occupant from the aircraft!"
Porter, looking out through the door, yells: "Get off my land!"
Torres to Chakotay: "What are they going to do when they find a half-Klingon in here."
Army officer: "Who the hell are you two?"
Tuvok: "Please stand aside, Officer."
Army officer: "I'm warning both of you to stop-"
There is an exchange of fire, including phasers.

Porter shuts the door and hurriedly comes down the stairs. He tells Butch: "They got lasers! A black man and some bald guy." He takes up position.

The Doctor enters and stands on the stairs. Butch opens fire at him but he is not harmed.

Surprised and alarmed, Porter opens fire with his automatic rifle. Again, the Doctor is not harmed. Porter, shocked: "God in heaven help us."

Doctor: "Divine intervention is unlikely." He calmly aims a phaser at Porter and stuns him.

Butch is phasered too.

The Doctor comes down the steps, goes over to the prisoners and starts untying them. "Ah. Tuvok's at the shuttle. He's starting repairs." Chakotay: "Doctor, how-" Doctor: "It's a long story, Commander. Suffice it to say, I'm making a house call."

Voyager's Bridge. Kim: "It's Paris again, Captain, on audio." Janeway, via comms, while at the security/tactical station: "Status report, Tom." Paris and Rain, in her camper van, are tailing the lorry, which is being driven by Dunbar. Paris, via comms: "We just turned off the main highway onto a desert road."

Rain pulls the phone toward her: "Hi, this is Rain Robinson. You don't know me, but the point is there is zero traffic on this road. They're going to know we're following them."

Janeway, via comms: "Thank you, Miss Robinson. I'll keep that in mind. Tom, we've scanned the area. There appears to be a small landing field about ten kilometres ahead of you." Paris, via comms: "It could be his launch site." Janeway, via comms: "Stay on him. Our weapons are still offline, and Torres hasn't finished repairing the shuttle. It might all be up to you." Paris, via comms: "I'll do my best. Paris out."

Dunbar fires at them as he turns the corner. Paris: "Look out!"

Rain manages to bring the van under control, and they start following the lorry again. Paris: "Get in behind him." Rain: "What?!"

Paris, aiming his phaser at the lorry: "Right up his bumper. Little closer." Rain: "Forget it." Paris: "One more metre!" Rain: "Just shoot!" Paris hits the lorry.

Apparently out of control, the lorry careers into the distance and over a rise.

The camper van stalls in the middle of the road. Rain tries to start it twice.

Paris: "It's flooded. Give it a second." Rain: "Well, do you think we got him?" Paris: "I think so."

Suddenly he sees the lorry heading in their direction, at full speed! Rain tries to start the van two more times. Rain, desperately to the van: "Come on."

The lorry is on a fast and deliberate collision course! Paris: "JUMP!!!"
