THE 37'S: Episode 20

It is just before 1500 hours. Janeway and Chakotay are walking along the corridor that leads to the cargo bay, to find out which crewmembers have decided to leave Voyager and settle on the planet.
Chakotay: "I expect Jarvin will stay on the planet. In fact, I'd bet on it."
Janeway: "Why Jarvin?"
Chakotay: "He's been more uncomfortable about being on a Starfleet ship than most of the Maquis, and he's gotten involved with a young woman in Quantum Mechanics. I think they'd like to settle down, raise a family."
Janeway: "The person I expect to see is Baxter."
Chakotay: "Baxter. Walter Baxter?"
Janeway: "He's adventurous, a risk-taker. I can see him wanting to take on the challenge of building a new life on this planet."
Chakotay: "I'd hate to lose Baxter. He's a good man."
Janeway: "I'd hate to lose Jarvin. I don't want to lose anyone. We've all been through so much together. It just doesn't seem right. But I couldn't blame anyone, anyone, for staying behind."

They reach the doors to the cargo bay. She hesitates. "I'm not sure I want to go in."

Chakotay: "No matter what happens, we'll make it. Remember that."

She is grateful for his support. They enter the cargo bay. cargo bay doors

There is no one there.

Janeway is moved by the crew's implicit faith in her.

Janeway and Chakotay enter the Bridge.
Tuvok announces to everyone: "Captain on the Bridge."

Paris stands to attention, acknowledging her, and gives a smile.

The senior officers Kim and Torres, like Paris, tacitly but clearly show their support for Captain Janeway.

She is much moved by their devotion.

Then briskly she sets about the task in hand.
Janeway: "All stations prepare for departure. Condition blue, Mr Tuvok. Miss Torres, antigrav thrusters online."
Paris: "Thrusters enabled."
Janeway: "Mr Paris, inertial dampers to flight configuration, impulse drive to standby."
Torres: "Yes, ma'am."
Kim: "All stations report ready, Captain."
Janeway: "Then let's do it. Take us up."
