EVENTS SUMMARY FOR PARTS A-L

Part A Chakotay's Maquis ship disappears in the Badlands. Janeway recruits Paris, a former Maquis who once knew him. He arrives at Deep Space 9.

Part B Paris meets Kim. Paris is received coolly by Voyager's doctor. Janeway talks with Mark. Janeway welcomes Paris and Kim. Voyager departs for the Badlands.

Part C Kim learns Paris' past. Voyager enters the Badlands, is taken to the Delta Quadrant, ends by an Array which is sending energy pulses toward a planet.

Part D Fire in Sickbay. EMH activated. Warp core breach averted. Crew disappears.

Part E Crew's experiences on the Array. Crew is returned to Voyager.

Part F Kim and Torres are missing. Chakotay joins forces with Janeway. Tuvok's role revealed. Chakotay and Paris meet again. Away team meets the alien who controls the Array. He refuses to return Kim and Torres. He mentions a debt that cannot be repaid and that he has scant time. He sends the away team away. Kim and Torres awake in a medical clinic. They have a skin disease. Janeway learns the planet receiving the energy pulses is incapable of producing rain.

Part G Voyager meets Neelix who agrees to help find the missing crew. Torres and Kim meet. They are on the Ocampa planet, underground. 'The Caretaker' is a powerful being who provides everything for the Ocampa. Torres and Kim are told their disease is fatal. Neelix bathes as Voyager arrives at the Ocampa planet.

Part H Neelix takes Janeway, Chakotay and others to the Kazon-Ogla. They rescue the Ocampa woman, Kes, whom Neelix loves. Torres and Kim determine to reach the planet surface.

Part I Kes returns to her people to help find Torres and Kim. The away team, divided into two, make separate ascents to the planet surface.

Part J Paris, Neelix and Kes bring Torres and Kim to the planet surface. Paris and Neelix return for Janeway, Chakotay and Tuvok. Paris saves Chakotay's life, putting him in debt. Kazon-Ogla ships try to take control of the Array.

Part K Janeway talks to the dying Caretaker. He has failed to produce a successor, but she tells him the Ocampa will not be helpless without him. Voyager and Maquis hold off the Kazon-Ogla. To do so Chakotay sacrifices his ship. The Caretaker dies, telling Janeway the Array's self-destruct is not working which means the Kazon will capture the Array and use it to destroy the Ocampa.

Part L Janeway destroys the Array, thereby making Voyager an enemy of the Kazon and stranding the Starfleet and Maquis in the Delta Quadrant. The Maquis crew joins Voyager's crew. They begin the long journey home.
