ENDGAME Episodes 171 and 172

PART R

ENDGAME : Episodes 171 and 172 : portrayed in several parts

In the Pathfinder lab on Earth the mouth of a transwarp conduit is displayed on the monitor.
Admiral Paris: "What the hell is it?"
Lt. Barclay: "A transwarp aperture. It's less than a light-year from Earth."
Admiral Paris: "How many Borg vessels?"
Lt. Barclay: "We can't get a clear reading. The graviton emissions are off the scale."
The Admiral turns to an aide. "I want every ship in range to converge on those co-ordinates, NOW!"

The Borg sphere races after Voyager, firing all the while. The bridge crew carry on working despite the explosions around them caused by the bombardment.
Tuvok: "Aft armour is down to 6%."

Tuvok and Chakotay duck from an explosion.

An aperture opens in the Borg sphere.

Kim flinches at a small explosion behind him.
Kim: "Hull breaches on decks six through twelve!"
Paris: "I can't stay ahead of them, Captain!"
Tuvok: "The armour is failing."

Seven flinches at a small explosion nearby.

Chakotay: "Where's the nearest aperture?"
Seven: "Approximately 30 seconds ahead, but it leads back to the Delta Quadrant."
Captain Janeway: "Mr. Paris, prepare to adjust your heading."
Paris: "Yes, ma'am."

At Pathfinder, Admiral Sylvanus reports to Admiral Paris: "We've got 18 ships in position, 9 more on the way."
Admiral Paris: "Open a channel."

He addresses the ships' captains: "This is Admiral Paris. Use all necessary force, I repeat, all necessary force."
Lt. Barclay: "Sir, there's a vessel coming through!"

As soon as the Borg sphere arrives in the Alpha Quadrant, the gathered Starfleet ships open fire on it.....

.....but their weapons fail to penetrate the Borg armour!

On Voyager it is eerily quiet.
Captain Janeway: "Mr. Paris, what's our position."
Paris: "Right where we expected to be."
Seven: "The transwarp network has been obliterated."
Captain Janeway: "We'll celebrate later."

From deep within the Borg sphere an explosion begins. Admiral Paris orders all ships to cease fire.

As the Borg sphere blows up, Voyager hurtles out through the exploding debris to join the Starfleet ships. Voyager has reached the Alpha Quadrant!

Admiral Paris: "I look forward to it."

Under her breath, Captain Janeway says: "Thanks for your help, Admiral Janeway."

The Doctor's voice calls over the comm. system: "Sickbay to Lieutenant Paris." A baby's voice is heard as the Doctor says, "There's someone here who'd like to say hello."
As Paris turns, Captain Janeway smiles at him: "You'd better get down there, Tom."

In Sickbay, mother and baby are doing fine.

With Paris' departure for Sickbay, Captain Janeway: "Mr. Chakotay, the helm."
As he leaves Seven's side for the helm, both know that now they will have a future together.
Captain Janeway: "Set a course, for home." click for audio clip from the episode
