Admiral Janeway: "Deploy armour." Computer: "Unable to comply. Ablative generator is offline." Admiral Janeway: "Evasive pattern beta-six." |
 | As her shuttlecraft takes a pounding under the Klingon bombardment, she orders: "Open a channel to the Rhode Island." |
 | Captain Kim's face appears on screen she says, "Harry, I'm under attack. How fast can you get back here?" |

Voyager's bridge.
Tuvok: "I'm detecting nadion discharges on the other side of the rift." Chakotay: "Weapons fire?" Tuvok: "It's possible. The signature appears to be Klingon." Captain Janeway: "Red alert." |

 | The two Klingon birds of prey fire open the weakening shuttlecraft. |

| Suddenly USS Rhode Island appears and fires at the Klingon ships. | |

Captain Kim hails Admiral Janeway: "Stand by for transport, Admiral."
Admiral Janeway: "You know where I'm going, Harry, and it's not to your ship." Captain Kim: "Your structural integrity is failing." Admiral Janeway: "Just get these Klingons off my tail!" |

The Rhode Island drives off the Klingon ships, and Admiral Janeway is left alone.
 | Admiral Janeway: "Computer, activate the tachyon pulse and direct it to these spatial and temporal co-ordinates." The pulse opens a temporal rift. |  |
 | Admiral Janeway's shuttlecraft heads into the temporal rift. |

Tuvok: "There's a vessel coming through the rift. Chakotay: "Klingon?" Tuvok: "No, Federation." Admiral Janeway travels back in time and space, and arrives at 2377 in the Delta Quadrant! Her shuttlecraft hastens toward USS Voyager. Kim: "We're being hailed." Captain Janeway: "On screen." |
 | Admiral Janeway: "Recalibrate your deflector to emit an anti-tachyon pulse. You have to seal that rift."
Everyone on the Bridge is surprised to see an older version of their Captain on the viewscreen. Paris turns to look at Captain Janeway. |
 | Captain Janeway: "It's usually considered polite to introduce yourself before you start giving orders." |
 | Tuvok: "Captain, a Klingon vessel is coming through."
Admiral Janeway: "Close the rift. In case you didn't notice, I outrank you, Captain. Now do it!" |
 | Voyager aims an anti-tachyon pulse at the temporal rift and seals it, preventing the Klingon birds of prey from coming through. |  |
 Voyager seals the space-time rift that Admiral Janeway has just travelled through. (pop-up window) [#171 and #172 Endgame] |
 | Captain Janeway: "I did what you asked. Now tell me what the hell is going on."
Admiral Janeway: "I've come to bring Voyager home." |
 | Unknown to anyone on Voyager, in Unimatrix One the Borg Queen watches the older Janeway as she delivers her momentous message. |
