In a shuttlecraft Tuvok and Paris approach Zet and Nar's Hierarchy ship.

Scan display on the shuttlecraft's monitor. It shows the Hierarchy ship, and it towing the Delta Flyer.

Paris: "I'm detecting a human lifesign aboard and a holographic signature." Tuvok: "The vessel's weapons are polaron-based and they have auto-regenerative shielding." Paris: "We still have the element of surprise."

Aboard the Hierarchy ship. Janeway: "If you don't get him back to Voyager his matrix will be permanently damaged."

The Doctor's program fritzes again and he transforms into the Supreme Archon of the R'Kaal Imperium.

Doctor: "Please do something!" Nar to Zet: "He won't be any use to us if he decompiles."

Voyager's shuttlecraft fires. The Hierarchy ship is rocked as the tractor beam link to the Delta Flyer is broken so that it floats in space.

Paris is beamed aboard the Delta Flyer.

He goes and sits in the pilot's seat and swiftly activates ship's systems.

Nar: "Someone's boarded the Delta Flyer. They're moving away." Zet: "Fire at both vessels." Nar looks again at Zet, unhappy with the order, but he obeys. The blast rocks Tuvok in the shuttlecraft.

Aboard the shuttlecraft Tuvok orders Paris via comms: "Now, Mr Paris." The two Voyager craft make a combined attack on the Hierarchy ship.

Zet works the controls and arms a torpedo

An alert sounds on the Bridge of the Hierarchy vessel. Nar: "Our shield generator isn't going to last. If we give them what they want maybe they'll leave." warning klaxon Zet: "Prepare to jettison their warp core." Zet gets up and moves to a control panel.

Nar protests

Nar: "What are you doing?" Zet: "Arming a torpedo. If we detonate their core, the blast wave should give us enough time to escape." Nar: "That would kill them!"

One of the explosions on the Hierarchy ship's bridge knocks out the cell's forcefield.

Janeway and the Doctor hurry out.

Janeway goes to one of the control consoles.

The Doctor, still in his R'Kaal shape, goes hand-to-hand with Zet who fires a weapon at Janeway. "Captain, get down!"

Janeway gets back up again and resumes trying to access the ship's controls

Aboard the shuttlecraft, as the warp core materialises in space, Tuvok orders Paris via comms: "Lieutenant, lock a tractor beam onto the core and get it back to Voyager." Paris: "Acknowledged." The Delta Flyer activates a tractor beam, locks onto the warp core, and then leaves at warp speed.

Below 4 pictures: Zet fires at Janeway again. He hits the console and the resulting explosion knocks Janeway to the floor where she lies unconscious.

The Doctor grapples with Zet. During the struggle the Doctor is thrown back against a bulkhead and transforms back to his normal appearance.

As Zet turns to fire at Janeway, he manages to knock the weapon from Zet's hand.

Zet: "Nar, get this hologram off me!"

Nar picks up the engine part Janeway had helped him to fix and approaches. Suddenly Zet freezes - Nar has hit him from behind with the engine component. Zet collapses, unconscious.

Nar to the Doctor: "Guess this wasn't so useless after all."

Nar goes and helps Janeway to her feet.

Nar: "Are you still interested in acquiring my inventory?"
