Janeway visits Fantome and his fellows in Sickbay. Janeway: "Sorry to interrupt, but we've got a situation developing. We're going to try to break free of the anomaly. Your friends are welcome to join us but they should be aware of the dangers."
	The Fantomes reply. Doctor, translating: "The Void's their home. They want to stay." Janeway: "Where would they like us to transport them?" Doctor: "They're nomads. Any ship will do. They say they're grateful for our help. They want to help us now."

The allies plan and prepare:

The camera pans across most of Voyager's master situation display monitor (rear of the Bridge) (on tv the righthand end, not seen in the Flash movie, is merged into the next shots of the Astrometrics Lab). (pop-up window)

Kim: "There's a funnel forming in grid 4. Graviton surge in 98 seconds." Janeway: "Alert the other ships." To Paris: "Take us in, Tom." Paris: "Aye, Captain." Tuvok: "Bosaal and his fleet are approaching. They are charging weapons." The alliance ships are fired on. Janeway via comms: "Janeway to Engineering. Status?" Torres via comms: "I need two more minutes." Janeway via comms: "You've got one."

Kim: "Surge in 50 seconds." Janeway: "Voyager to all alliance ships. Begin firing at your designated targets." There is a co-ordinated volley from the alliance ship against the attacking fleet. Tuvok: "We've penetrated shields on both vessels." Janeway via comms: "Janeway to the Doctor. Initiate transport."

Fantome and his fellows are beamed out. transporter

Seven: "Transport complete, Captain. They're in the engine rooms of both ships." Janeway: "Acknowledged." Kim: "30 seconds." Janeway via comms: "Janeway to Engineering. We need that modulator." Torres via comms: "Just a few more seconds." Kim: "We're receiving a hail from Valen's ship. Audio only." Janeway: "Let's hear it." There are the musical notes that comprise speech for Fantome. Janeway says to the Doctor via comms: "What's he saying, Doctor?" Doctor via comms: "Mission accomplished. Fantome shut down power on Valen's ship." Tuvok: "Confirmed. Bosaal's ship has lost power as well." Paris: "Who says gremlins in the engines are a myth." Kim: "Surge in five seconds, 4-" Janeway via comms: "Now, B'Elanna." Chakotay: "All ships are in formation." Tuvok: "Structural integrity at 30 per cent..." Paris: "40,000 metres to normal space." Tuvok: "...20 per cent...10 per cent..." Janeway: "Do it, Tom!"

Janeway and Chakotay escort Loquar and Garon into the transporter room to bid farewell. Janeway: "Gentlemen, it's been a privilege having you as allies." Garon: "I never believed we would escape." Loquar: "Then why did you join?" Garon: "Captain Janeway is very persuasive." He jokes, "And the food was good." Janeway: "You're welcome to have a meal with us any time Garon: "Unfortunately we're headed in the opposite direction. Safe journey to you and your crew." Janeway: "And to all of yours as well." Loquar: "Thank you." Garon and Loquar take up position on the transporter pad, and the transporter operator activates the control. Garon and Loquar dematerialise. Janeway: "It was almost like being part of a federation again." Chakotay: "The real one's only 30,000 light-years away." Janeway: "Then what are we standing around for?"
