Voyager attacks the tactical cube and scores a direct hit to their shield emitters but Kim reports, "No damage." Chakotay orders the phaser yield to be increased. He orders fire on the cube to be maintained even though Voyager loses their forward shield.

The Delta Flyer approaches, on heading 017 mark 3. The Borg Queen notes that tactical cube 138 is under attack. On her monitor she sees Voyager firing phasers. She enhances grid 119 and sees the Delta Flyer, and remarks, "Captain, I expected something more cunning from you."

Aboard the Delta Flyer the team (Janeway, Tuvok and Torres) plan to beam aboard the tactical cube. The ventral shield grid of the cube has fluctuated thanks to Voyager's assault. It is fluctuating at a rate of 0.6 terahertz and Janeway orders Tuvok to align the Delta Flyer's transporter to match.
The tactical cube fires several torpedoes at the Delta Flyer.

The Delta Flyer is destroyed, but the away team manage to beam out and onto the tactical cube a second beforehand.

The Delta Flyer is fired upon by a Borg tactical cube, is hit, explodes and is destroyed.

Aboard the tactical cube, the away team hurry towards the central plexus. Janeway and Tuvok are forced to fire their phaser rifles at two drones. Torres spots two more coming up behind them. She fires at them but the Borg have adapted. The phaser rifles are useless now. The away team hurry on, pursued by drones. The Borg Queen watches her monitor and sees events on the tactical cube as they unfold.

Voyager continues to assault the tactical cube which fires back. Seated at the Science station on the Bridge, the Doctor is monitoring the away team's synaptic functions and reports, "No change yet."

Kim reports a hull breach on Deck 11 and the cube targets Voyager's warp-core.

The away team encounter forcefields, blocking their advance and their retreat. Janeway: "We'll have to take the long way round." But she spots two drones who advance and walk through one of the forcefields. The away team fight hand-to-hand but....

....resistance is futile.

On tv, this is where Part One of this story breaks, and it brings Season 6 to an end with an exciting cliffhanger. Part Two of the story opens Season 7.
