In Astrometrics, Tuvok replies via comms: "We're preparing to bring it online." |
 | Tuvok to Torres: "Charge the emitters." |
| Janeway, via comms: "Bridge to the Doctor."
The Equinox EMH has transported to Voyager, easily masquerading as Voyager's Doctor. Equinox EMH, via comms: "Sickbay here." Janeway, via comms: "Did you find anything?" Equinox EMH, via comms: "Could you be more specific?" Janeway, via comms: "Neural patterns, cortical scans, anything that could help us program the universal translator." Equinox EMH, via comms: "Negative. I couldn't access the Equinox datafiles. They were encrypted." Janeway, via comms: "Keep studying the information we have. See what you can come up with." Equinox EMH: "Acknowledged." After contact with the Bridge ends, he says: "Computer, locate Captain Ransom." Computer: "Captain Ransom is in crew quarters, Deck 9, Section 22." The Equinox EMH fetches a hypospray and opens a medkit. A plan is formulating in his mind...... |

 | Chakotay via comms: "Chakotay to Seven of Nine. What's your status?"
She taps her combadge.  combadge "I've dismantled their antimatter injectors but I'll need several minutes to neutralise the dilithium matrix." |
 | Chakotay, via comms: "We don't have much time."
Seven, via comms: "Understood." |
 | The Equinox EMH, masquerading as Voyager's Doctor, goes to Deck 9 Section 22. He emerges from the turbolift. He is carrying a medkit, and wearing the source of his new-found freedom, the Doctor's mobile emitter. He tells the two security guards on the door: "The Equinox crew has been infected with a mutagenic virus. It may be contagious. I've been authorised to innoculate them."

 | As the Equinox EMH enters, accompanied by a security guard, he tells the assembled Equinox crew: "You've all contracted a virus. I'll need to treat you." |
 | One of the crew asks: "A virus?"
Equinox EMH: "Doctor's orders." |
 | But when he opens the medkit, the Equinox crew near him including Captain Ransom can see that it contains not just a hypospray but two phasers. |
 | As he injects Ransom with nil medication hypospray injection the Equinox EMH tells him quietly, "It's me." Ransom indicates, with barely any movement, that he understands. |
 | Meanwhile, in Astrometrics, Tuvok orders: "Activate the grid." But nothing happens except for a whine of technology breaking down. "What happened?
Torres: "I don't understand. This should be working. I'm running a system-wide diagnostic." |
 | The security guard left outside hears a thud from inside the room. He readies to enter, but as soon as he opens the doors he is hit by phaser fire. |  |
 | He is thrown backwards, stunned.
The senior crew of the Equinox, armed, and their EMH, move quickly and warily through Voyager's corridor. Their EMH tells them: "I re-routed transporter control to a panel in the next junction. We'll be able to-" But they meet a Voyager security patrol. |
 | Voyager's bridge.
Kim: "I'm reading phaser fire on deck 9, crew quarters." |
 | Janeway: "Security, seal off deck 9."
Chakotay: "Shields are weakening. They're down to 84%." |
| Tuvok, via comms: "Tuvok to bridge. The field generator is offline. Its power couplings were disengaged." |  |
| Torres, via comms: "Someone reconfigured the internal sensors so we couldn't detect it." |  |
 | Janeway, via comms: "Whatever it takes, get that grid online!" |
 | The escaping Equinox crew meet a security team. The security team fires at them but the shot goes wide. |  |
 | Ransom, armed with a phaser rifle taken from the security guards (now downed) who had been guarding them, fires back. As he does so, the Equinox EMH runs back the way they have come and disappears around a bend in the corridor. |
 | Ransom hits one of the security guards. |
 | The Equinox EMH is uncertain which way the battle will go. He takes himself offline and the mobile emitter falls to the ground. |  |
 | Ransom fires at and fells the other security guard. |  |
 | Burke informs Ransom: "They've sealed off the deck."
But Ransom reaches the wall panel in the next corridor junction. "Don't worry. We're getting out of here." |
