2372-Janeway: "I don't believe we've been introduced, Ensign." 2375-Seven: "Yes." Braxton, closing his eyes: "No." 2372-Janeway: "I don't care if history itself comes unravelled, I want to know why you're on my ship." 2375-Seven: "Voyager is in grave danger." 2375-Seven: "The intruder has already boarded the ship. Please, your lives depend on it." 2372-Janeway: "You're a Borg drone attempting to prevent a disaster that won't occur for another three years."

2372-Janeway, accompanied by 2372-Tuvok and a security guard, comes up to her so that the forcefield is immediately between them. 2372-Janeway is holding a phaser aimed at her. 2372-Janeway: "I don't believe we've been introduced, Ensign." 2375-Seven: "Lower the forcefield." 2372-Janeway: "I stand corrected. We have met - Utopia Planitia, the Briefing Room. You told me it was 'efficient'." Braxton and Ducane on USS Relativity overhear the entire conversation via Relativity's comms but are unable to be heard due to Voyager blocking their attempts to transmit. Braxton: "Janeway." 2375-Seven: "You've mistaken me for someone else." 2372-Janeway: "Oh, I don't think so. So, here you are, two years later on the other side of the galaxy. Imagine that." 2375-Seven: "You're preventing me from completing a vital mission." 2372-Janeway: "Who are you, and what are you doing on my ship?" Braxton, hoping 2375-Seven can hear him: "Don't say anything." Ducane: "She can't hear you, sir." 2375-Seven: "My designation is irrelevant, but I assure you I have no hostile intentions." 2372-Janeway: "Somehow, I don't find that very comforting." As she speaks, Tuvok activates his tricorder. "Are you working with the Kazon?" 2375-Seven: "No, I am not." Tuvok: "I'm detecting bio-mechanical implants. They have a Borg signature." 2372-Janeway taps her combadge. Via Voyager's comms: "Janeway to the Bridge. Scan the vicinity for Borg ships." 2372-Chakotay, via Voyager's comms: "Did you say Borg?" 2372-Janeway, via Voyager's comms: "Do it." Contact ends. 2375-Seven: "You will find none." 2372-Janeway: "Then how did you get here?" 2375-Seven: "I'm no longer Borg." 2372-Janeway: "Then who are you?" 2375-Seven: "I can't answer your questions." Braxton: "Good." 2372-Janeway: "Why not?" 2375-Seven: "It would be a violation of the Temporal Prime Directive." 2372-Janeway: "You're from another time." 2375-Seven: "Yes." Braxton, closing his eyes: "No." 2372-Janeway: "Who sent you?" 2375-Seven: "I can't tell you that. I would be risking damage to the timeline." 2372-Janeway: "I don't care if history itself comes unravelled, I want to know why you're on my ship." 2375-Seven's 29th century tricorder emits an audio alert. 2372-Tuvok: "What's that?" 2375-Seven: "You must release me." 2372-Tuvok: "Why?" 2375-Seven: "Voyager is in grave danger." 2372-Janeway: "So we've noticed." 2375-Seven: "Not from the Kazon, from an act of sabotage. I've been sent here to stop it. The intruder has already boarded the ship. Please, your lives depend on it." 2372-Janeway: "You're not going anywhere until you tell me what's happening." 2375-Seven: "My name is Seven of Nine. I'm a member of your crew, rather, I will be a member of your crew. I've travelled back in time to try to prevent a disaster that will destroy Voyager." Braxton points forcefully at the control panel. He orders Ducane: "Get her out of there." Ducane: "I'm trying." 2372-Janeway: "Let's see if I've got this straight. You're a Borg drone attempting to prevent a disaster that won't occur for another three years." 2375-Seven: "Three years, six months and two days." 2372-Janeway to 2372-Tuvok: "Does this make any sense to you?" 2372-Tuvok replies: "Like most time paradoxes, it's implausible but not necessarily illogical."

2375-Seven: "Captain, when you take me from the Borg you are going to tell me that part of being human is learning to trust. Trust me, now." 2372-Janeway looks at her consideringly. The words this mysterious stranger claims she will say do ring true - it is precisely what Janeway believes and would say. She orders 2372-Tuvok: "Lower the forcefield." He does so.

2375-Seven, via Relativity's comms: "Seven of Nine to Braxton. Respond." Braxton, via Relativity's comms: "Stay where you are. We're pulling you out."

2375-Seven, via Relativity's comms: "That would be unwise. I am pursuing the saboteur with Captain Janeway's assistance."
Braxton turns away, thinking.
Ducane prompts him: "Tempus fugit."
Braxton makes the decision. Via Relativity's comms to 2375-Seven: "Proceed."
2375-Seven, via Relativity's comms: "Yes, sir." Contact ends.

She reads from the tricorder: "The intruder is in junction 52-beta." 2372-Janeway to 2372-Tuvok: "Take the starboard hatch." 2372-Tuvok: "Aye, Captain."

Inside the Jefferies tube network, an intruder is about to install the temporal disruptor when the hatchway opens.

The intruder turns, still holding the device, as 2375-Seven and Janeway start to come in holding phasers in their hands.

The saboteur is Braxton! (To distinguish the different Braxton embodiments, they will be designated "#1" and "#2", with the saboteur just discovered being "#2".)
2375-Seven: "Captain Braxton." Janeway and Seven point phasers at him. "Lower the temporal disruptor."

Instead Braxton activates the device: "It's armed. I'll activate it. Lower your weapons."

Janeway looks at Seven. They lower their weapons.

Braxton #2: "Janeway."
2372-Janeway: "Have we met?"
Braxton #2: "Too many times, but you wouldn't remember - they haven't occurred yet."
Braxton #1, via Relativity's comms: "Seven of Nine, report."
2375-Seven, via Relativity's comms: "I have located the saboteur."
The entire rest of the comms. conversation is conducted via Relativity's comms.
Braxton #1: "Who is it?"
2375-Seven: "It's you, Captain Braxton."

Ducane turns to look at his captain (Braxton #1).

Braxton #1: "Me?"

Braxton #2: "More accurately, a future you. Now let me complete our mission."
Braxton, bemused, #1: "Our mission? I don't know what you're talking about."
Braxton #2 to #1: "Listen very carefully. The circumstances of your life are going to change in the next few years. You'll be sent into rehabilitation, again, forced to retire, and it's all because of Voyager!"

2375-Seven to Braxton #1: "Captain I believe your future self is suffering from temporal psychosis."

Braxton #2: "Well, of course I am, you pedantic drone!" Continuing speaking to Braxton #1: "The only way for me, for us, to recover is to obliterate Voyager from the timeline. That way, none of the events that caused this illness will have occurred."

2372-Janeway: "What events?" Braxton #2: "Thirty years of exile on twentieth century Earth, the temporal inversion in the Takara sector - three violations that I had to repair."

Braxton #1: "Can you get a lock on him?" Ducane: "Negative. He's activated a dispersal node. I should say, you've activated a dispersal node." Braxton #1: "Don't be absurd. I have no wish to sabotage Voyager." Ducane: "Not yet." Braxton #1: "Remodulate the transporters. Find a way to cut through the interference. I gave you an order, Lieutenant."

Ducane picks up a phaser, and heads for Braxton #1, aiming the phaser at him. "I'm sorry, sir. I'm taking command of this vessel, and I'm relieving you of duty for crimes you're going to commit."

Braxton #1 protests: "I haven't done anything."

Ducane beckons with his left hand and the other crewman (the one who speaks) joins him, phaser in hand. They arrest Braxton #1 and Ducane assumes command.

Ducane: "Seven of Nine, apprehend Braxton." Braxton #2 backs away. Suddenly the starboard hatch opens to reveal Tuvok, phaser in hand.

Braxton #2: "No." He activates his tricorder and beams out. He vanishes just as Janeway and Seven move in upon him but they encounter only an empty space where he was. 2375-Seven: "Relativity, he's escaped."

Ducane: "I'm tracking him. He's travelled to another time frame, two years earlier." 2375-Seven: "Transport me to those co-ordinates." Ducane: "That would be your fourth jump." 2375-Seven: "I am aware of the risks." Ducane: "Stand by." Contact ends.

2375-Seven to 2372-Janeway and 2372-Tuvok: "Thank you for your assistance."
Leaving them to exchange puzzled glances, she is beamed out.....

.....and beams into a Voyager corridor in the year 2371, just before Voyager sets off on the Badlands mission. She is beginning to feel sensory aphasia due to the number of time jumps and has to lean on a wall railing to steady herself as she looks at her tricorder. She draws her 29th century phaser and heads down the corridor.

2371-Patterson to 2371-Janeway, as he starts giving her a tour of her new command: "There's still some work to be done but, er, once the sawdust clears I think you'll be impressed. Voyager may not be as big as a Galaxy class ship but she's quick-"

As he speaks, Braxton #2 comes running along the corridor, barging into a crewmember. 2371-Janeway sees the intruder is armed. She grabs 2371-Patterson's arm and pulls him down to take cover.

Then 2375-Seven comes running past after Braxton #2. 2375-Seven shouts to everyone: "Take cover!" Janeway starts to get up. 2375-Seven fires at Braxton #2.

The phaser shot nearly hits his head. He runs on.

2375-Seven runs after him and Janeway again ducks down.

Immediately 2375-Seven has gone past, 2371-Janeway gets up and taps her combadge. 2371-Janeway: "Security, report to Deck 4, section 12. Erect forcefields around all access points." She sighs and helps 2371-Patterson up. "Is this part of the tour?!"
