Later, in Relativity's Holomatrix 1, Braxton shows her the inside of a Voyager access panel: "This is a simulation of junction 49 on Voyager's fourth deck. Thanks to you, we've learned that the temporal disruptor was and will be concealed here. I gave up trying to keep my tenses straight years ago." 2375-Seven: "How will I disarm it?" Braxton: "You've already tried, unsuccessfully. The weapon's out of phase. You'll have to find the saboteur before he plants it. This," indicating a device, "will detect any chronoton flux other than your own, and I'm authorising you to use whatever force may be necessary." 2375-Seven: "Understood." Braxton: "One more thing. Watch out for the Janeway Factor." 2375-Seven: "I am not familiar with that protocol." Braxton: "Your Captain has a knack for sticking her nose where it doesn't belong especially when it comes to time travel." 2375-Seven: "Captain Janeway is quite resourceful. Has it occurred to you that she may be helpful?" Braxton: "Helpful? That woman has been responsible for three major temporal incursions." 2375-Seven: "No doubt creating numerous paradoxes." Braxton: "And who do you think had to repair the damage? Me. She's reckless, she has no regard for the integrity of the timeline. I asked for her help once. She refused and I ended up stranded in the late twentieth century. Have you ever been to that time frame?" 2375-Seven: "No." Braxton: "Well, I don't recommend it. After three decades with those post- industrial barbarians I had to go through extensive rehabilitation before I could return to duty." Firmly: "Avoid contact with Janeway. That's an order." 2375-Seven: "Yes, sir."

USS Relativity. Ducane, passing an instrument over 2375-Seven's ocular implant, making it vanish: "This will occlude your Borg implants."

The device makes the implants invisible to the naked eye.

Ducane: "Ready?"

2375-Seven, feeling her implants: "Yes." Braxton: "We have a saying in our line of work: 'There's no time like the past.'"

Ducane to the crew: "Raise shields. Time frame: Stardate 49123.5621, Delta Quadrant. Spatial co-ordinates: twenty-one alpha prime by nine thirty-six zeta. Target: USS Voyager."

In the 2372 time frame, weapons fire from Kazon spacecraft pounds the ship.

In a corridor can be heard 2372-Chakotay, via comms shipwide: "All hands to battle stations. We're under attack. Repeat, all hands to battle stations." Two crewmembers hurry along the corridor. 2375-Seven materialises behind them. No one sees her do so.

The ship trembles as it is hit by enemy weapons fire and she steadies herself against the wall. Two crewmen hurry past, ignoring her, as she gets out her (29th century) tricorder, reads it and heads down the corridor.

On the 2372-Bridge, as Voyager is being heavily pounded by Kazon weapons fire and there is an explosion at the conn, 2372-Janeway orders: "Return fire." There is an explosion behind her.

2372-Paris: "Dropping spatial charges." 2372-Janeway: "Evasive maneuvers." 2372-Tuvok: "Shields down to 20 per cent." 2372-Chakotay: "Another Kazon ship is approaching."

In 2372-Engineering, the com. signal sounds. Via comms: "Janeway to Engineering. We need warp engines." 2372-Torres, via comms: "I can't give them to you. Not until I've repaired the containment generator." 2372-Janeway, via comms: "Time?" 2372-Torres, via comms: "I'll need ten minutes, at least!" Behind her, unobserved by anyone, 2375-Seven enters Engineering and goes straight into the Jefferies tube network.

2372-Bridge. 2372-Kim: "Captain, I'm picking up a strange reading on Deck 4."

2372-Janeway: "What kind of reading?" 2372-Kim: "It's a chronoton flux, .003." 2372-Janeway gets up and goes over to join him at Ops.

2372-Chakotay: "Any idea what's causing it?" 2372-Kim: "Not yet."

2372-Tuvok, ducking an explosion at his station: "It could be random interference from Kazon weapons fire."

2372-Janeway: "I don't think so. I've seen these readings before."

At the same time (in the 2372 time frame), at the end of a crawlway, 2375-Seven opens the hatch and goes through it. The ship shakes. At the same time the hatch closes. She takes off the access panel behind which she knows the weapon should be.

2375-Seven, re-checking her tricorder, via comms: "There's no sign of the weapon."

Braxton, via Relativity's comms: "Any uninvited guests?" 2375-Seven in the 2372-Jefferies tube, replying via Relativity's comms: "Not yet."

USS Voyager, 2372-Bridge. 2372-Tuvok, ducking another small explosion: "The lead vessel's been disabled. The others are regrouping."

2372-Chakotay, via comms: "B'Elanna, status." 2372-Torres, via comms: "Warp drive's online, but the containment field's still unstable. Warp 2 is the best I can give you." 2372-Chakotay: "I'll take it. Engage." He nods to Paris.

Paris turns and operates the helm controls accordingly.

USS Voyager jumps to warp. 2372-Paris looks up and reports: "They're not pursuing."

2372-Janeway aloud to herself: "Dry dock." 2372-Kim: "Ma'am?" 2372-Janeway: "The first time I saw these readings was over two years ago when Voyager was in dry dock. Same readings, same location." 2372-Kim: "What caused them?" 2372-Janeway: "I never found out. The signal vanished before we could isolate it. Erect a Level 10 forcefield around that section."

She heads for the turbolift. 2372-Chakotay: "Is this really the time to be chasing sensor ghosts?" 2372-Janeway: "Something tells me this is more than a coincidence. Seal off Deck 4."

As she heads for the turbolift and the doors, sensing her approach, open, she touches 2372-Tuvok lightly on the upper arm. "Tuvok, you're with me." He joins her in the turbolift. Ayala walks across and takes up 2372-Tuvok's post.

USS Voyager, 2372-Jefferies tube. 2375-Seven's tricorder emits an audio alert, so she opens up the tricorder and checks it. 2375-Seven, via Relativity's comms: "They've erected forcefields around my location. I may have been detected. How shall I proceed?" But there is only a crackle and Ducane does not reply. "Lieutenant, respond."

USS Relativity. Braxton: "What's wrong?" Ducane: "The forcefields are blocking our transmissions." Braxton: "Compensate." Into the comms: "Seven of Nine, report." 2375-Seven, via Relativity's comms: "Relativity, are you there?" Ducane to Braxton: "It's no use, sir. She can't hear us."

USS Voyager, 2372-corridor. 2375-Seven climbs out of the hatch into the corridor.

She goes one way but is blocked by a forcefield.

She turns and starts to head the other way but is blocked by another forcefield. She is trapped!
